i may be overstating the quality of the tape slightly, its longer than it needs to be & some tracks are v unnecessary. but its got some jams

seriously i don't think i could have disagreed with him more. the tape is IMO 1/3 luger bangers, 1/3 luxury raps, and then the last 1/3 has, like, french montana at his waviest, drake-ian ambient synth raps, weed raps--how much variety do you expect? the thesis reads like it was transplanted from a review of ashes to ashes

And that's what's most frustrating about the man's creative trajectory. There is so much more that he could be doing with that voice of his, but he remains a prisoner of his own design. Rich Forever is a very good tape by a man who insists on forever remaking the same damn tape.

what does he want, a concept album about South African apartheid? Ross stays in his lane lyrically, but sonically it's probably more varied than his last two studio releases!
