I already regret dropping this from my best of '11 ballot, as I really, really dig this.

On last.fm there's a meagre 55k plays which astounds me. Why isn't UA&tDB this decade's Queens of the Stone Age yet? Or will they be in a year or two but we're just in early? It's got all the potential to be huge I think, playing big summer festivals and all. Or do they wilfully shy away?

Oh, it's actually 100k+50k = 150k plays in different spelling of the band name. Point still stands though.

^^^^ This. Its been nearly impossible to track down their stuff up to this point, I'm hoping all this buzz will lead to a deal with a decent label that can handle distributing this stuff. I really, really want to support these guys but I keep missing out on the ultra-limited runs of CD-Rs.

Yeah, that's definitely true Drugs A. Do you agree they have the potential to be this decade's QOTSA? It really feels like they can put a festival audience under their spell like that band. Love ILM for bringing attention to this band. WE WERE FIRST! <3

Regardless of who discovered them firstn my main point is that for a representative metal album, Blood Lust is just a really fresh & ahead-of-the-curve choice.

Been really liking this album lately. It's just the right combination of heavy & catchy at points.

Not at all, actually. As I've said what seems like a million times, they're decent and I think they have a good shot going forward to be much more than decent. Just not there yet, based on this album.
