really want more rappers to record love songs in 2012

tpp, Saturday, 14 January 2012 23:23 (fourteen years ago)

everytime I think of rap love songs I think of Tasty Taste's 'love' song from Fear of a Black Hat

Neanderthal, Saturday, 14 January 2012 23:25 (fourteen years ago)

i unconditionally love future now :-/

tpp, Saturday, 14 January 2012 23:31 (fourteen years ago)

well that E-40 is brilliant. Had to rewind his verse

Number None, Saturday, 14 January 2012 23:48 (fourteen years ago)

new jacka is really pleasant, but much like 'indictment' isn't really leaving a huge impression. he just doesn't sound as hungry as the jack artist through tear gas period. that was an insane run

I Love Pedantry (D-40), Sunday, 15 January 2012 10:06 (fourteen years ago)

i have trouble coming up w/ things to complain about w/ it, so it's not like its actively bad, just v sorta laid back smoke-y resignation or something

I Love Pedantry (D-40), Sunday, 15 January 2012 10:06 (fourteen years ago)

the gucci verse on the future tape is really good

tyga mother (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 15 January 2012 15:50 (fourteen years ago)

i got more blocks than mutumbo
two hoes who look like j. lo in my condo
shawty my accountant cuz i need some help to count it
took that rrari out and went and mount it first day out the county

tyga mother (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 15 January 2012 15:52 (fourteen years ago)

"deeper than the ocean" off this tape is really awesome

tyga mother (J0rdan S.), Sunday, 15 January 2012 16:01 (fourteen years ago)

so Tear Gas was good then? the local FYE has that. Not like I don't already have way too much music to listen to, but I am going on a flight tomorrow so....

xxpost

I Love Pedantry (D-40), Monday, 16 January 2012 01:59 (fourteen years ago)

flopson, Monday, 16 January 2012 02:04 (fourteen years ago)

clunky beats, cheezy vibes.

jimitheexploder, Monday, 16 January 2012 02:22 (fourteen years ago)

I Love Pedantry (D-40), Monday, 16 January 2012 02:23 (fourteen years ago)

clunk in yo trunk

flopson, Monday, 16 January 2012 02:28 (fourteen years ago)

Man, that Suga Free mixtape cover is atrocious.

The Pseudo Carp Walks Among Us (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Monday, 16 January 2012 03:27 (fourteen years ago)

after being mildly entertained by gold on deck and loving the riff raff collabo, disappointment rules the day as soulja boy's new tape is almost unlistenable. lil keis has a few nice beats on it and the closer w/ young l is passable. other than that it is every bad trait of his magnified to some hideously high degree

saturdaynight (jk), Monday, 16 January 2012 04:26 (fourteen years ago)

what u jacka listeners think of the track w/ lil rue & smigg dirtee? kinda crazy production. curious what yall think

I Love Pedantry (D-40), Monday, 16 January 2012 08:17 (fourteen years ago)

i like the jacka album, and that track, think my favourite is "here we are" though - the strings <3

I Love Pedantry (D-40), Monday, 16 January 2012 23:11 (fourteen years ago)

Thats great! we need our big rappers around longer. Hopefully he sticks with it.

The Pseudo Carp Walks Among Us (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Tuesday, 17 January 2012 02:38 (fourteen years ago)

Future drops one of the better verses i've heard from him and says "I'M STILL WALKIN' ON THE MOON, I FEEL LIKE A THOUSAND GOONS" on a song by a Baltimore dude i interviewed last summer:

Aesop Rizzle (a hoy hoy), Tuesday, 17 January 2012 12:14 (fourteen years ago)

i just want to say thanks to the goon crew for waking me up to schoolboy q - i've been listening to setbacks on repeat for the last few days

TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Tuesday, 17 January 2012 12:42 (fourteen years ago)

Bam! Orgasm explosion in your facehole. (DJP), Tuesday, 17 January 2012 17:10 (fourteen years ago)

Have they done anything as a full group yet?

Aesop Rizzle (a hoy hoy), Tuesday, 17 January 2012 19:06 (fourteen years ago)

black hippy

The Brainwasher, Tuesday, 17 January 2012 19:07 (fourteen years ago)

There's a Black Hippy tape floating about but i don't think it's official, just a compilation of various stuff they've recorded under that name put together by a fan.

Number None, Tuesday, 17 January 2012 21:05 (fourteen years ago)

Is Say Wassup the only track they all appear on?

The Pseudo Carp Walks Among Us (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Tuesday, 17 January 2012 21:38 (fourteen years ago)

This is the tape

For all you A.G. fans, he released a free EP called Danksgiving about a month ago, all produced by Dave West who produced all of Everything's Berri.

Get it here:
http://www.redapples45.com/#!/mixtape/danksgiving

Songs are short and stripped back, very much in the EB vein, diggin it. Nice little 25 minute shot of ny raps.

what a horribly formed "review" of the new Yo Gotti:

Neanderthal, Saturday, 21 January 2012 17:09 (fourteen years ago)

His flow is solidly in the "functional" tier of similarly street-oriented rappers like Wacka Flocka and Young Jeezy, but he's at an even greater deficit of charisma than either.
