New T.I. mixtape is awesome bruh

pug waffle (Whiney G. Weingarten), Saturday, 7 January 2012 15:48 (fourteen years ago)

we bought a zoo in a hopeless place (some dude), Saturday, 7 January 2012 15:56 (fourteen years ago)

i was just saying that i really wish t.i. would return to form - would certainly show rawse up for the mediocrity he is

(i have the mixtape, not got round to it, not going to today due to hangover, i don't listen to rap when i'm hungover)

all i see is angels in my eyes (lex pretend), Saturday, 7 January 2012 15:56 (fourteen years ago)

The title track with Jeezy is the best rap song I've heard in 2012!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TzbhzBkEeo

pug waffle (Whiney G. Weingarten), Saturday, 7 January 2012 16:02 (fourteen years ago)

Also, I love how no one ever talks about how T.I.'s porno raps are more disgusting than anything that Tyler or Necro does. I don't think rock critics really listen to T.I. outside the singles

pug waffle (Whiney G. Weingarten), Saturday, 7 January 2012 16:04 (fourteen years ago)

there's a Mannie Fresh production! and Just Blaze! and...Dr. Dre

Number None, Saturday, 7 January 2012 16:04 (fourteen years ago)

hearing Jeezy on that track pretty much illustrates why I found the new Jeezy a disappointment. THIS was the kind of track I expected to be all over TM103 and there's barely one of those rough-edged tracks to be found. it's too 'smooth' (and considering it's still not really polished, shows you how hard-edged Jeezy usually is).

Neanderthal, Saturday, 7 January 2012 16:13 (fourteen years ago)

wow, Young Dro with the reference to the Indiglo watch

Neanderthal, Saturday, 7 January 2012 16:18 (fourteen years ago)

mew ross tape is fucking awesome btw

is that the cathead rick ross who raps in meowing 'cause I can't stand that shit

unlistenable in philly (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Saturday, 7 January 2012 17:54 (fourteen years ago)

Is that fuck da city beat lifted from somewhere else that I should know about? Cause otherwise it sounds a whole lot like
http://lucabrazi.bandcamp.com/track/rich-nigga

Thug Luftwaffle (forksclovetofu), Saturday, 7 January 2012 17:57 (fourteen years ago)

Multiplatinum icon Rick Ross def taking his cues from 2009 Conscious-Goon one hit wonder Luc Brazi

pug waffle (Whiney G. Weingarten), Saturday, 7 January 2012 19:11 (fourteen years ago)

1: fuck da city is TI
2: i don't think Luca Brazi has had a hit yet
3: TI didn't produce that track, it's listed as "Chuck Diesel". Luca did produce all the beats on Ear Candy though.

Thug Luftwaffle (forksclovetofu), Saturday, 7 January 2012 19:13 (fourteen years ago)

Jeezy guests on Fuck Da City

i think i'm big screech...sheldon cooper (Neanderthal), Saturday, 7 January 2012 19:24 (fourteen years ago)

i can't believe lex was in here arguing w/ deej about azealia banks v rick ross instead of zinging him for being over a year late on the rick ross bandwagon

J0rdan S., Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:04 (fourteen years ago)

t.i./travis porter/young dro is a real fantasy collab for me

J0rdan S., Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:08 (fourteen years ago)

J0rdan S., Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:08 (fourteen years ago)

Regional Thug (D-40), Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:18 (fourteen years ago)

boys, boys...there's never a right time to start liking shitty rappers

seasonal thug (some dude), Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:24 (fourteen years ago)

SD this album is really good ....

Regional Thug (D-40), Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:29 (fourteen years ago)

imo better than teflon don

Regional Thug (D-40), Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:29 (fourteen years ago)

would rather be 'late' on a bandwagon when the music gets better 'later'

Regional Thug (D-40), Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:30 (fourteen years ago)

trilla is a dope album btw

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6d6QjtrTaU

ross has improved, yes, but he was never bad in the first place

thuglifeさよなら (The Brainwasher), Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:31 (fourteen years ago)

ehhhh I can't agree w/ that. thats a cool song but cmon. he's peaking right now. his writing is stronger now. it requires him being at the top of the rap game for it to even feel impactful

Regional Thug (D-40), Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:34 (fourteen years ago)

deej otm

rebecca blah (k3vin k.), Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:36 (fourteen years ago)

You're the worst.

pug waffle (Whiney G. Weingarten), Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:38 (fourteen years ago)

?

lol @ pug waffle

Regional Thug (D-40), Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:39 (fourteen years ago)

well yeah he's peaking now obviously, but that doesn't mean his earlier work isn't good - you guys make it seem like a Gucci-level improvement where he suddenly because this dope rapper skill-wise where that isn't the case - he's pretty much doing the same stuff he was doing on Trilla his craft is just sharper.

thuglifeさよなら (The Brainwasher), Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:39 (fourteen years ago)

well i always liked "Hustlin," i just found that he was pretty hit or miss. right now he's becoming like a better-writing version of Diddy, where he just makes anthems & has memorable bars. i still don't think he's one of the greatest rappers, but he's def one of the great rap artists at least in the last few years. sometimes i think small improvements, tightening up his songwriting & everything actually goes a long way

Regional Thug (D-40), Saturday, 7 January 2012 21:44 (fourteen years ago)

he's kind of a one-man movement, you can't really divorce the quality of his music from the perception of him succeeding

imo

Number None, Sunday, 8 January 2012 00:55 (fourteen years ago)

btw gonna go ahead and say the new ross is a legit classic and the best ross record. At the least, its better than the t.i., jeezy, 2chainz, etc. lps.

Regional Thug (D-40), Sunday, 8 January 2012 01:42 (fourteen years ago)

btw gonna go ahead and say the new deej is a legit dumbass

pug waffle (Whiney G. Weingarten), Sunday, 8 January 2012 02:00 (fourteen years ago)

but stan, why are you so mad?

Regional Thug (D-40), Sunday, 8 January 2012 02:02 (fourteen years ago)

Seriously, have you listened to this? Most consistent high-profile rap lp since flockaveli, no joke

Regional Thug (D-40), Sunday, 8 January 2012 02:04 (fourteen years ago)

lol

rebecca blah (k3vin k.), Sunday, 8 January 2012 02:08 (fourteen years ago)

dude, the ross TAPE is good dude, but it's completely batshit that in like less than 48 hours of listening you're calling a hodgepodge of tinny 192kpbs mp3s better than like 2010's lushest best rap album featuring like the two most influential Lex Luger beats ever and prime Kanye. Your whole schtick of finding some ass-backwards YouTubey path to stumble into every rapper is like those dudes in 1993 who were saying like Bunnygrunt demos are really better than Liz Phair or w/e.

pug waffle (Whiney G. Weingarten), Sunday, 8 January 2012 02:09 (fourteen years ago)

Lmao. Youre so disconnected

Regional Thug (D-40), Sunday, 8 January 2012 02:12 (fourteen years ago)

This isnt a "hodgepodge of mp3s" moron. Listen to the tape

Regional Thug (D-40), Sunday, 8 January 2012 02:13 (fourteen years ago)

That's definitely not something hipsters say!

Lmao. Youre so disconnected

The tape is good!

pug waffle (Whiney G. Weingarten), Sunday, 8 January 2012 02:14 (fourteen years ago)

You just compared the new ross tape to bunnygrunt demos lmfao

Regional Thug (D-40), Sunday, 8 January 2012 02:15 (fourteen years ago)

kanye had a beat on flockaveli? what was that a reference to?

rebecca blah (k3vin k.), Sunday, 8 January 2012 02:17 (fourteen years ago)

also this is a "mixtape" not an "album", no?

rebecca blah (k3vin k.), Sunday, 8 January 2012 02:18 (fourteen years ago)

xpost Teflon Don
