really? I don't like it that at all but it's reasonably innocuous imo

Regional Thug (D-40), Wednesday, 4 January 2012 06:21 (fourteen years ago)

it's just so, so unpleasant

some dude, Wednesday, 4 January 2012 06:31 (fourteen years ago)

Rack City sounds like it came out six years ago, i like it

waka flocka dimes (Whiney G. Weingarten), Wednesday, 4 January 2012 06:41 (fourteen years ago)

waka flocka dimes (Whiney G. Weingarten), Wednesday, 4 January 2012 06:43 (fourteen years ago)

i mean it does sound kind of like a shitty ripoff of "the whisper song," yeah

some dude, Wednesday, 4 January 2012 06:46 (fourteen years ago)

i dont rlly hear the whisper song, idk, its just the last rap song i'd considering 'grating', just kind of milquetoast

Regional Thug (D-40), Wednesday, 4 January 2012 08:06 (fourteen years ago)

eh it just sounds like he's forcing his voice into that croak in a really unpleasant way to me.

since we pretty much have everyone-but-deej consensus, can forks or somebody take the wack 'youtube' out of the thread title.

some dude, Wednesday, 4 January 2012 19:47 (fourteen years ago)

i still disagree albeit i supposed "rolling regional youtube thug" would have been better

Regional Thug (D-40), Wednesday, 4 January 2012 20:06 (fourteen years ago)

rolling regional thugtube

people still find rappin grandmas funny?

The Silent Extreme (Shakey Mo Collier), Wednesday, 4 January 2012 20:08 (fourteen years ago)

regional *glug*

flopson, Wednesday, 4 January 2012 20:58 (fourteen years ago)

there's really no reason any form of 'youtube' needs to be in there

we bought a zoo in a hopeless place (some dude), Wednesday, 4 January 2012 21:01 (fourteen years ago)

well this thread is basically a youtube repository..........

The Brainwasher, Wednesday, 4 January 2012 21:03 (fourteen years ago)

at its worst, yes

we bought a zoo in a hopeless place (some dude), Wednesday, 4 January 2012 21:04 (fourteen years ago)

i think at it's worst its pedantic sniping but ymmv

Regional Thug (D-40), Wednesday, 4 January 2012 21:25 (fourteen years ago)

the title seems indicative of a paucity of movements to get behind but w/vs i don't really care what these things are called. i'd've probably just voted for reusing "gunshot sounds"

all i see is angels in my eyes (lex pretend), Wednesday, 4 January 2012 21:27 (fourteen years ago)

roach gigz going to sxsw apparently

The Silent Extreme (Shakey Mo Collier), Wednesday, 4 January 2012 21:29 (fourteen years ago)

"gunshot sounds"

k3vin k., Wednesday, 4 January 2012 21:44 (fourteen years ago)

i liked when it was rolling rap on the sandbox

Number None, Wednesday, 4 January 2012 21:49 (fourteen years ago)

what is the best king louie tape to get?

I am Newgod (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 5 January 2012 05:45 (fourteen years ago)

idk the best-of i suppose. http://www.box.com/shared/f2543tq15mycszdhgn7l

Regional Thug (D-40), Thursday, 5 January 2012 06:05 (fourteen years ago)

cheers deej. also you going crazy over a chart w/ lots of rapper names set up by some spin intern has been making me giggle while trying to catch up on my pre-sandbox gun sounds. never change.

I am Newgod (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 5 January 2012 06:10 (fourteen years ago)

That's the first one I copped on Deej's recommendation. Totally great! 'Too Cool' is amazing.

pandemic, Thursday, 5 January 2012 11:16 (fourteen years ago)

I said it on the old thread just before the changeover, but the new T.I. tape is surprisingly enjoyable. Seriously, check it out.

Number None, Thursday, 5 January 2012 11:51 (fourteen years ago)

i'm really feeling mata "pic em up" and the laroo/turf talk trax that were nominated for the 2011 poll! also the new meek mill single.

all i see is angels in my eyes (lex pretend), Thursday, 5 January 2012 11:52 (fourteen years ago)

Been playing the new T.I for the last 2 days on your rec. #0. Beats are great, definitely worth checking.

pandemic, Thursday, 5 January 2012 12:17 (fourteen years ago)

XP, if you're feeling that Pic Em Up track then you'll like the full tape:

http://trapsntrunks.com/?p=20433

One of my favorites last year, Pic Em Up is the only song Ive been able to find on youtube. Get Ya Weight Up w Jackie Chain is great. Heavily is great. He even takes a stab at singing on the final track. DJ Burn One and the Block Beataz produced some of it, sounds really crisp.

Water In The Z-Bo (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:19 (fourteen years ago)

new azealia banks track 'liquorice' lives up to her hype.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjm5s_TAAvs
I will check out that tape spottie, was curious what Burn One was up to.

walking liquidity crisis (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:42 (fourteen years ago)

also since the original poster doesn't wanna change the thread title, I'm leaving as is

walking liquidity crisis (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:44 (fourteen years ago)

Burn One produced a massive amount of stuff last year, most of it was for relatively unknown regional thugs tho

Number None, Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:47 (fourteen years ago)

laroo/turf talk trax that were nominated for the 2011 poll!

wait which were these I don't follow annual polls/threads (mostly cuz I tend not to care when things are released)

The Silent Extreme (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:50 (fourteen years ago)

get that bullshit off this thread forks

Regional Thug (D-40), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:52 (fourteen years ago)

azealia banks smh

Regional Thug (D-40), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:52 (fourteen years ago)

regional theater kid

Regional Thug (D-40), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:52 (fourteen years ago)

anyway i suspect this is a forks & deej mindmeld track??

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9A1yZWZdsw

i keep wanting to turn on this guy & then he goes & does something hilar and awesome

Regional Thug (D-40), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:53 (fourteen years ago)

unabashedly love that dude

congratulations (n/a), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:54 (fourteen years ago)

he sounds **so much** like ghostface & collabs w/ statik selektah ... but then he drops a track where he's rapping over a malfunctioning jukebox & i'm like, ahh well

Regional Thug (D-40), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:55 (fourteen years ago)

yeah that's pretty funny

The Silent Extreme (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:56 (fourteen years ago)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dhCCx22JFw

Maybe this one, Shakey Mo. Beat is bananas.

Water In The Z-Bo (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:57 (fourteen years ago)

lol @ how angry azealia banks makes deej. what possible reason is there for not posting her in here!

all i see is angels in my eyes (lex pretend), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:58 (fourteen years ago)

idk why not post lmfao in here too?

Regional Thug (D-40), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:59 (fourteen years ago)

& i like that one lmfao song, but it just doesnt belong here

Regional Thug (D-40), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:59 (fourteen years ago)

oh Money 2 Blow yeah that was good

The Silent Extreme (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 5 January 2012 17:01 (fourteen years ago)

azealia belongs in a rap thread just like brianna and reema major and nicki minaj and kid sister do

all i see is angels in my eyes (lex pretend), Thursday, 5 January 2012 17:03 (fourteen years ago)

Action Bronson track is a party.

Water In The Z-Bo (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Thursday, 5 January 2012 17:04 (fourteen years ago)

action bronson (almost abbreviated as AB before realizing potential confusion with azaleia banks) is a total ghostface copy but he's really good at it so who cares

congratulations (n/a), Thursday, 5 January 2012 17:07 (fourteen years ago)

I care

The Silent Extreme (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 5 January 2012 17:09 (fourteen years ago)

I just picture Ghostface sayin "that guy's eatin my lunch!" a la Mike Love

The Silent Extreme (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 5 January 2012 17:09 (fourteen years ago)

yeah, when he's over generic boom bap its pretty corny, i think as long as his production & execution sounds like they don't give a fuck about "new york rap tradition" & fake premo /rza beats, he'll be tolerable at worst

Regional Thug (D-40), Thursday, 5 January 2012 17:10 (fourteen years ago)

also since the original poster doesn't wanna change the thread title, I'm leaving as is

― walking liquidity crisis (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 5 January 2012 16:44 (21 minutes ago) Permalink

with this logic we'd have spent all of 2010 reading the rolling euroswag thread--just change it bro

flopson, Thursday, 5 January 2012 17:10 (fourteen years ago)

kinda dope at best

Regional Thug (D-40), Thursday, 5 January 2012 17:11 (fourteen years ago)

it's so good! reminds me in a sideways fashion of "get buck" (an all-time fav) but with more slathery synths

lex pretend, Friday, 28 December 2012 20:13 (thirteen years ago)

maybe noz would read this board less if chief deef didn't mention him pretty much every single day

fanute me or shoot me (some dude), Friday, 28 December 2012 20:20 (thirteen years ago)

are you testing out this one to see if any possible response i get can be turned into a 'deej is always doing [x]' meme?

D-40, Friday, 28 December 2012 20:25 (thirteen years ago)

*give

D-40, Friday, 28 December 2012 20:25 (thirteen years ago)

because what the fuck?

D-40, Friday, 28 December 2012 20:25 (thirteen years ago)

Red Bull Records is going alt-rock all the way, though, the platinum AWOLNATION single they put out is a classic imo

fanute me or shoot me (some dude), Friday, 28 December 2012 21:32 (thirteen years ago)

ha, is the UK some bizarro world where "Cashin' Out" wasn't a ubiquitous summer jam?

Rolling "2 chainz" draadje (The Reverend), Friday, 28 December 2012 21:35 (thirteen years ago)

It didnt seem huge in Canada, but I'm not really a club/party goer so my sense of these things is limited (though it does suggest it wasn't ubiquitous)

Regional Tug (irrational), Friday, 28 December 2012 21:48 (thirteen years ago)

i think it's called "loonies out" up there

fanute me or shoot me (some dude), Friday, 28 December 2012 21:52 (thirteen years ago)

not remotely ubiq here no, big enough to have been heard of though

r|t|c, Friday, 28 December 2012 21:54 (thirteen years ago)

Toonies, sir. If we're talking condo, on your neck money.

Regional Tug (irrational), Friday, 28 December 2012 22:02 (thirteen years ago)
