i finally got a chance to start listening to this for real on my commute today, only 4-5 songs in but they are all good. the part in sarahel's song where lars starts talking for the first time startled me, it sounded like the guy standing in front of me on the train was talking really loudly about hawaiian shirts.

Man, each one is so great in its own way. Just heard "Frustration" (II) and love how the song-length demand takes it from being this little new-wave song into a whole other thing.

It's been a blast seeing everyone's reactions to all this over the last 24 hours -- this was really great fun to coordinate and anticipate, and getting the sneak preview as I went = even better. I have a bit of a bug now and really want to do something like this again!

This was what I enjoyed about doing ILX3, it was like christmas getting all the music from so many different styles and places.

xxpost -- You're welcome! I figure with precover stuff like this you have to aim to beat the inevitable leak and just keep gently nagging until it's all done. It was a window of about a month so that worked!

Yeah that crazy, crazy variety is just such a gift. You can't plan for it but it always seems to happen!

Also it helps that when I set up my new home network after my move it was far easier to download WAV files and the like being sent in.

I listened to LULU I on my commute to work today. Great stuff. Saving LULU II for the ride home. Thanks to all the musicians. This is gonna stick with me far longer than the actual LULU will.

yeah the press release is lovely. when is this whole thing going to be pressed as a 4-LP set.
