A good chunk of my inspiration was Faithless, specifically "Insomnia" and how they structured this long song as two distinct but related halves, the first being more static deep house and the second being more aggressive with more melodic variation; also on Sunday we sang an anthem in church with a bunch of ridiculous key changes, which solved my problem of how to escalate into the second half climax.
