It's the one we've all been waiting for:

LITTLE DOG

Little dog who can’t get in
Moaning at the bed side
Moaning from each limb

Little dog who can’t get in
Can only cry but
Can not swim

Pony legs, little trot
Little dog has to wait a lot

The bigger dog has got his spot
And elbowed him away

Listen to him barking
Listen to him call
Little dog don’t have much at all

A puny body and a tiny dick
A little dog can make you sick

If you got the money you can go to the top
The female dog don’t care what you got
As long as you can raise that
Little doggie face to a cold hearted pussy
You could have a taste

A taste of what the big dog got
A taste of what the big dog got
The little dog with the one hundred dollar spot
Can run his tongue over the hot in trot
Hot in trot
Run his tongue over the hot in trot

Money can do anything
Money can do anything
Money can do anything
Tell me what you want

My small dog, he want what I got

Wants to run his tongue over my hot spot

Pathetic little dog

Pathetic little dog
The little man follows his nose
Counts his fingers and his toes
He still got those
Pathetic little dog
Pathetic little dog
Following his nose
But it needs my money to buy

I’m an up while you’re a down
I am an up while you’re a down
The spring and the will follow me around
While you sniff your shit in the wind
Sniff your shit in the wind
Money can do anything
Money can do anything
Tell me what it is you want
Just tell me what it is you want
I’m an up while you’re a down
The spring and the will follow me around

Tell me what it is you want
Tell me what it is you want

You sniff your shit in the wind
Follow me around

Pathetic little dog

"Little dog has to wait a lot"
Boy can I relate - will it ever be October 31st?

had to check the site to confirm these are the actual lyrics - doesn't it look like something some rapper would rap? anyway, liking this a lot of course lol :)

Also the actual "Little Dog" lyrics are up and I was ready to proclaim myself the winner, Lou kind of knocks this one out of the park

This needs to be sung to the tune of Cousin Balki's Bibi-Babkas song (aka the Limbo Rock song but you get my meaning).

In checking the credits again, I had forgotten Hal Willner is a coproducer and that there are apparently strings throughout. Plus Rob Wasserman.

notice this person credited with "electronics" on the LULU website..interesting:

Sarth Calhoun is an electronic musician from Brooklyn, NY.

He is a member of Lucibel Crater along with Leah Coloff and Paul Chuffo. He is also a member of Lou Reed's Metal Machine Trio, along with Lou Reed and Ulrich Krieger. He was previously a member of Number19.

He plays continuum fingerboard and beta tests for the Symbolic Sound Kyma workstation. He refers to himself as an "electronic alchemist" using audio equipment to perform live looping and processing of other instruments during performances.

It would be great if this whole thing turned out to be a demo disc sponsored by Monster Cable and Bose.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 14 October 2011 15:34 (fourteen years ago)

kinda want to hear this:

[Hal Willner] has released one album under his own name: Whoops, I'm an Indian, which featured audio samples from 78 rpm records from the early-mid 20th century.

this whole thing is VERY PRO.

when the music industry finally dies, i will pour myself a glass of scotch and mourn the passing of a time when a tremendous amount of time, money, and talent could be devoted to something so incredibly ridiculous.

Here's one of those Willner tracks -- from 1998, featuring Howie B! Of course.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 14 October 2011 15:38 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, I found Hal Willner's presence intriguing, I've always liked his work, especially his Burroughs albums.

Meanwhile, I can't get the bibbibabka ditty out of my head now.

A. Begrand, Friday, 14 October 2011 15:39 (fourteen years ago)

Wilner's done the last few Lou albums iirc, at least stretching back to Ecstasy. Wasserman's OK, but I'm disappointed that Lou didn't bring in the master of the fretless bass Fernando Saunders. Seems like a song called "Iced Honey" is just dying for a lil fretless bass solo.

tylerw, Friday, 14 October 2011 15:41 (fourteen years ago)

xpost -- that was the goal.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 14 October 2011 15:48 (fourteen years ago)

This is going from being 80% a Metallica record to being 80% a Lou Reed record.

Maybe more Danson and Galifianakis would help (Eazy), Friday, 14 October 2011 15:56 (fourteen years ago)

But systems, planets.

Mate, that record is boss btw. Well worth hunting down, a more subtle take on the whole Avalanches schtick, if you don't mind that sort of thing.
