Guys, I have so much work to do today, but I can't stop listening to this. Currently on the Hawaiian guitar-like segment of "Mistress Dread." This is making me happier than a new Residents record.

Tyler's was just SO FUCKING PERFECT as the first song. First time I heard these as they came in I was just fucking floored. Floored by all of them, really!

Da Croup's "Iced Honey" is really making me hope this gets Spotifyed.

I was hoping someone else would single out this one; I love the complete contrast between the two halves.

I could say this about a lot of these, but snoball's making me happy this thing's in stereo.

As far as I know, no -- they all just arrived as they did. Gotta say that ILX comps are pretty stellar for always having some actual variety to them.

snoball's "Frustration" is another favorite; his "Get On Your Boots" for the U2 one is an all time classic and this is not far off.

yeah, improvised lyrics in one take. initially i intended it as a practice run, but it ended up summing up what i set out to do.

I was going to do add in more vocals on my song but realized very quickly that I wasn't really going to put together 11 minutes of coherent singing on the fly, so I just sang an ooh and a catch phrase, pitch-shifted them for the second half and called it a day.

The second phrase was me going "oh shit, half of this is in D-minor and half is in C-minor, how am I getting from one to the other...? INTERLUDE"

Actually it's violin if you mean the solo, kind of a VU / Cale nod plus I needed to fill out the time quite frankly.

LITTLE DOG!

Having our "Little Dog" taken down from Youtube due to a copyright infringement is the highlight of my musical career

I might give this project an anniversary spin then !

It was still such a treat to put this all together and just thinking about how well it would land while everyone was going crazy waiting for the final tracks to arrive.

So is there any chance of putting this up on the ILX bandcamp page?

IIRC part of the reason why we didn't go that route was because not every track arrived in AIFF/WAV format.
