"'Easy Lee' is the oldest song on the LP. The vocoder idea is 3 years old. It's a very nice story: we were at Martin’s mother’s place, in the garden, and we were really drunk, and I showed Luciano [my new] laptop, and we were completely drunk, and I showed him the Nord Lead vocoder, what you can do with it. Showing him this, I was playing around with the melodies, and it was completely spontaneous, and this became the melody of 'Easy Lee.' It was strange, it was the last moments being in this house, because the house was being sold, and everything changed after that -- it was a sad situation. So this is running through it, this atmosphere, this paradise atmosphere we had in this garden, and we were about to lose this paradise. It’s really, like, in between melancholic, a very sad thing, and a very happy thing."
