currently I'm a fan of Mellowhype and of course Tyler, and I have the Earl Sweatshirt mixtape (tho I guess he's in Europe now?), but...haven't heard many of teh gazillion other affiliates of theirs.

they're all on stage at the same time and i think just run thru songs by diff members randomly

I know it didn't really backfire on Chris Brown, but since these guys aren't selling millions yet, the higher profile types might start distancing themselves from these guys when stories like this break.

for one, high profile people will co sign and/or work with anyone that will make them money/keep them famous

also OF have been playing sold out shows like for the entire year, ppl still very much care about them

given the way ppl reacted to Chris Brown, I expect that if this has any effect at all, it will be to accelerate their reinvention as a mainstream group

Guys difference between those people you are talking about is that these guys aren't selling even 1/10th of the numbers those guys did. Come on. I realize its wishful thinking that this will even put a temporary speedbump in their career, but if you think they'll get as much public, high level backing as Chris Brown did - you're insane.

Being huge assholes is basically Odd Future's brand. Pissing off some crit types and gay/women's rights groups is not going to hurt them.
