smh for all time if "my love" makes the top 10

J0rdan S., Monday, 12 September 2011 16:12 (fourteen years ago)

Snoopy Track is my outside bet to place high

Number None, Monday, 12 September 2011 16:13 (fourteen years ago)

haha this is fun, i may set aside certain predictions to feature later as "eerily prescient" or "hilariously wrong"

ibiza bloodfarty rock anthem (some dude), Monday, 12 September 2011 16:18 (fourteen years ago)

i dunno y'all p4k loving hipsters and my love was their #1 of... whatever year it was. do love that song even if timb has done much better.

snoopy track was my #1 but i think timb is such a great singles guy that an album track doesnt really have a chance

oh shit how did i forget it, it must be top 10 #2: oops (oh my)

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Monday, 12 September 2011 16:24 (fourteen years ago)

about 1/5th of the top 50 is album tracks actually

ibiza bloodfarty rock anthem (some dude), Monday, 12 September 2011 16:27 (fourteen years ago)

yeah but for someone who oft. produced whole albums with people, getting 40-50 isn't really making me re-think that 'my love' will do better than 'best friends' or 'snoopy track' etc.

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Monday, 12 September 2011 16:30 (fourteen years ago)

smh if tweets 'call me' isnt in the top 10

prego, Monday, 12 September 2011 16:34 (fourteen years ago)

I will take either "Call Me" or "Oops (Oh My)"

Tal Berkowitz - Vaccine advocate (DJP), Monday, 12 September 2011 16:35 (fourteen years ago)

gotta be oops
al, working on yer blurbs now

thank got forks showed up (forksclovetofu), Monday, 12 September 2011 20:15 (fourteen years ago)

cool

anyone want to be my backup person to post results if i'm busy during the day this week? like i'd just e-mail somebody a chunk of the countdown to post one at a time over a few hours if i know i'm gonna be away from the computer for a while and want to keep the results coming.

ibiza bloodfarty rock anthem (some dude), Monday, 12 September 2011 20:17 (fourteen years ago)

i gotta hella busy day tomorrow unfortunately.

thank got forks showed up (forksclovetofu), Monday, 12 September 2011 20:32 (fourteen years ago)

whereas i am p free tuesday and thursday.

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Monday, 12 September 2011 20:38 (fourteen years ago)

ok cool, i will keep you in mind. i'm guessing you don't keep the same hours as the most American crowd that will be reading the thread though? so maybe it might be easier for a US poster.

ibiza bloodfarty rock anthem (some dude), Monday, 12 September 2011 20:48 (fourteen years ago)

hmmm yeah, mebbe. well, if you are really stuck...

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Monday, 12 September 2011 20:56 (fourteen years ago)

yeah no i appreciate it! i mean part of me is tempted to just post the results around the clock whenever it suits me but people seem to like having results rollouts that entertain them during the 9-5 shift so i'm going to make an effort toward the latter before resorting to the former.

ibiza bloodfarty rock anthem (some dude), Monday, 12 September 2011 20:58 (fourteen years ago)

al i am free thursday and friday. (so far!) (i mean i should be doing freelance stuff those days but w/e.)

strongo hulkington's ghost dad, Monday, 12 September 2011 21:02 (fourteen years ago)

also doin yr blurbs now.

strongo hulkington's ghost dad, Monday, 12 September 2011 21:02 (fourteen years ago)

aight cool -- all i'm asking is that someone c&p from an e-mail into the results thread every 20 minutes if they're already on ILM posting all day, so not looking to inconvenience anyone it wouldn't be convenient for

ibiza bloodfarty rock anthem (some dude), Monday, 12 September 2011 21:04 (fourteen years ago)

song i'm most annoyed about not voting for: Sock It To Me. Those horns were soooooooo sick.

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Monday, 12 September 2011 21:55 (fourteen years ago)

like at one point in my life i need to be at a party where Sock It To Me & Simon Says are played back to back and it would be the best night ever.

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Monday, 12 September 2011 21:55 (fourteen years ago)

i love rap songs with big fat low end horn riffs like that but personally i'll take "Who Run It" or "Shut Up" over either of those

ibiza bloodfarty rock anthem (some dude), Monday, 12 September 2011 21:57 (fourteen years ago)

well they are also awesome songs and if i heard all 4 in one night i think i would just cry tears of joy (while dancing my tits off)

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Monday, 12 September 2011 22:05 (fourteen years ago)

CRYING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CLUB

ibiza bloodfarty rock anthem (some dude), Monday, 12 September 2011 22:07 (fourteen years ago)

omg @ at the realization 10 seconds in what that midi was

strongo hulkington's ghost dad, Monday, 12 September 2011 22:10 (fourteen years ago)

wld not be ashamed

Ravaging Rick Rude (a hoy hoy), Monday, 12 September 2011 22:11 (fourteen years ago)

i think i'm gonna unveil the WORST tracks now -- as in the two tracks that were selected twice on the handful of worst ballots i actually got

2. Timbaland featuring Katy Perry - "If We Ever Meet Again"

ibiza bloodfarty rock anthem (some dude), Tuesday, 13 September 2011 00:17 (fourteen years ago)

there may be no musician with a greater rift between the quality of their music overall and the quality of the content in their official VEVO than Timbaland

ibiza bloodfarty rock anthem (some dude), Tuesday, 13 September 2011 00:20 (fourteen years ago)

and now The Worst Timbaland Track Of All Time

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSM3w1v-A_Y

1. Timbaland featuring OneRepublic - "Apologize"

ibiza bloodfarty rock anthem (some dude), Tuesday, 13 September 2011 00:21 (fourteen years ago)

thats relatively more inoffensive than i was expecting.

not good or anything, just sayin

D-40, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 00:30 (fourteen years ago)

there's worse stuff on both Shock Value albums and the Chris Cornell album for starters but it's pretty understandable if people haven't heard them or don't want to subject themselves to it for the sake of this poll

some dude, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 00:33 (fourteen years ago)

the reason i will never understand peoples' love of "Say It Right" is the horrible idea of backup singing Tim displays on both that and "Apologize"

some dude, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 00:34 (fourteen years ago)

it doesnt sound like tim on say it right, it sounds like one of those barely-there vocal samples

D-40, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 00:45 (fourteen years ago)

it sounds just like him on lots of other songs and he lip syncs to it in the video so there's no way i could think of it as that

some dude, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 00:55 (fourteen years ago)

guys this is worse than both

the dark side of low horn riffs

some dude, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 00:56 (fourteen years ago)

i think 4 minutes has a cool beat

in retrospect i really erred by not making my worst-of list all furtado

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i_qxQztHRI (Princess TamTam), Tuesday, 13 September 2011 01:04 (fourteen years ago)

i enjoyed your worst ballot referring to her as 'nelly retardo'

some dude, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 01:06 (fourteen years ago)

i tried listening to some of Loose on the Spotify playlist the other day and really i pretty much hate everything about that record

some dude, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 01:07 (fourteen years ago)

man i still like most of that record -- promiscuous got overplayed tho w/ that cell phone commercial

D-40, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 01:09 (fourteen years ago)

tim's idea of singing also present on chris cornell's "ground zero"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHAgB8FWbOU

mutant slow drum (BradNelson), Tuesday, 13 September 2011 01:09 (fourteen years ago)

"Promiscuous" IS a cell phone commercial

some dude, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 01:10 (fourteen years ago)

also here is the actual worst tim track, enjoy

Guys, diamond dogs guys

thank got forks showed up (forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 13 September 2011 01:20 (fourteen years ago)

I don't count "Apologize" as a Timbo song. He just added "ehs."

Anakin Ska Walker (AKA Skarth Vader) (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 13 September 2011 01:21 (fourteen years ago)

and Timbo-in-a-can beatbox drums

some dude, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 01:22 (fourteen years ago)

I had forgotten that the original Tedder connection was dude contributing actually-decent backing vocals on Deliverance.

Tim F, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 01:27 (fourteen years ago)

In Germany, the song was downloaded 437,000 times, making it the third best-selling download single of all time behind Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" and Lena Meyer-Landrut's "Satellite".

never should have given these people their own country back after the war imo.

strongo hulkington's ghost dad, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 01:29 (fourteen years ago)

I don't understand why "Satellite" is so beloved. Even by Germans.

Tim F, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 02:02 (fourteen years ago)

The more often I heard it on the radio, the more I didn't mind "Apologize." It's a decent Enrique Iglesias ballad.
