Not that retinkering would actually make it easier so I think I'll just let it lie, but wish I'd tossed a vote toward Are You Feelin' Me? or Gun Line. This poll might be even harder than Prince was.

sorry, man, i thought "x date at midnight" universally meant at the END of that date. in any event i am NOT going to be a hardass about people being a little late or wanting to revise their ballots (within reason).

btw JUST now noticed that put "deadling" in the fucking title of this thread, if this thread wasn't so close to being irrelevant i'd beg forks or somebody to change it.

i dug up an old timbo best of that i had made a while back and i stuck it in my car tonight -- but it was pretty beat up and on half the songs i was like "... is the CD skipping or is this a next level drum pattern that i never picked up on?"

got a late ballot from V79 and waiting on at least two more from Spottie and deej -- two songs are currently tied for #1

ha there's part of 'do u remember' that always sounded like the distortion i'd get when my cell was getting a call & was resting on my discman back when I used to play that cd instead of as mp3s

xp I always do my ballot first when I'm running a poll, precisely to avoid that temptation. I don't think my conscience could take knowing it's only 'cos of me that J-Lo's #1.

2. Top... 100? 50?

yeah i thought about doing my ballot first before any came in, but then i procrastinated and they started rolling in and i was like 'oh well.'

i am definitely doing a top 50, and i am definitely rolling them out between monday and friday this week but i'm not really sure when it'll start (which somewhat depends on how late our last couple stragglers are) or when it'll end, although i'm leaning toward not stretching it over a long 5-day rollout. anyone have any preferences or suggestions in that department?

You could 3 days -- 20-20-10. That builds a little drama for the end.

yeah i like that idea. hopefully i'll know tonight whether that'll start Mon or Tues or Wed. i'm guessing people would generally prefer results get posted during US daytime hours? if that becomes tricky for me any day(s) i may e-mail that day's results to someone to post while i'm busy, if anyone wants to step up for that (maybe forks?).

I didn't vote for worst Timbo tracks - what's going to sweep the field there? I haven't, er, kept up with "Ghetto Techno" or his tracks w/D.Guetta or Jet, heh.

i should've noted before, but only sending to the address at the top of thread works, my ilx webmail goes to a defunct address

only 5 of the 30+ voters sent in worst ballots, so i'm probably going to do away with the 'results' for that altogether, or may just unveil the one or two songs that actually were listed by multiple people.

ok voting is officially CLOSED. i'm thinking results will start on Tuesday morning or maybe Wednesday (although the results thread might start with some teasers and early info before that). people who volunteered to write blurbs have been given their songs to write about and will hopefully get those back to me before i need 'em.

also as i said up thread i may pass the baton to someone else to post the results for me while i'm out here or there, so if anyone who'll be around and posting during the day this week wants to volunteer, let me know.

if you need someone to cover a blurb last minute let me know & i should be able to throw something together
