so if kellys 12 play is the comedown what does that make let me see that booty

dayo, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:30 (fourteen years ago)

a bonus track

J0rdan S., Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:32 (fourteen years ago)

i was gonna say "waking up at 4 am to go vomit in the toilet"

dayo, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:33 (fourteen years ago)

lol i thought i established that 'let me see the booty' was the litmus test for dream stannery

D-40, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:33 (fourteen years ago)

that was true until '1977' came out

dayo, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:35 (fourteen years ago)

i think i have listened to "let me see the booty" once

horseshoe, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:35 (fourteen years ago)

i listened to all three of the most recent albums the other night & i still think "let me see the booty" is fucking great

J0rdan S., Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:35 (fourteen years ago)

i think we are all still stans though

horseshoe, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:35 (fourteen years ago)

i consider myself a 'love hate' stan more than a the-dream stan

or a the-dream as song factory stan vs. the-dream as auteur stan

D-40, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:37 (fourteen years ago)

^^^his next album title

D-40, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:37 (fourteen years ago)

"kelly's 12 play" is great as a closer but "luv songs" is even better and love/hate would have been completely perfect if it had ended with it.

prolego, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:42 (fourteen years ago)

i could do without "livin' a lie" that much but "mama"!!!

horseshoe, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:44 (fourteen years ago)

love/hate already has a perfect closer http://www.teslatheband.com/forums/images/smilies/Gestures/userArmsCrossed.gif xp

frogsb (k3vin k.), Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:45 (fourteen years ago)

wow, since when did people like "mama"

prolego, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:48 (fourteen years ago)

'mama' is awesome fuiud

D-40, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:51 (fourteen years ago)

^^^^^^^^

Tim F, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:52 (fourteen years ago)

"Mama" is maybe the anti-"Let Me See The Booty" in a litmus testy sense.

Tim F, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:52 (fourteen years ago)

been waiting to hear tim f's thoughts on 1977, actually

frogsb (k3vin k.), Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:53 (fourteen years ago)

I haven't downloaded it yet. I figure if I approach it super-casually I might like it more.

Tim F, Sunday, 4 September 2011 20:55 (fourteen years ago)

i can't even comprehend actively repping for "mama" above "let me see the booty", it's like none of you enjoyed crunk'n'b

lex pretend, Sunday, 4 September 2011 22:22 (fourteen years ago)

Trying to associate LMSTB with "Goodies", "Oh", "I Like That", "Yeah" etc. only tarnishes the otherwise glistening reputation of those tunes.

Tim F, Sunday, 4 September 2011 22:32 (fourteen years ago)

that song is like 4 years late & generic as shit

D-40, Sunday, 4 September 2011 22:33 (fourteen years ago)

generic isn't nec a bad thing

lex pretend, Sunday, 4 September 2011 22:45 (fourteen years ago)

The release of "Fancy" is the key-change chord at the very end that leads into "Right Side of My Brain".

swagliacci (The Reverend), Sunday, 4 September 2011 22:59 (fourteen years ago)

4 years late and actively annoying as shit. xp

I'm completely taken by how many uneducated and emotionally Damaged Artist there are in the music business.

yung huma (J0rdan S.), Monday, 10 October 2011 18:58 (fourteen years ago)

I'm completely taken by how many people who consider themselves educated don't know how to pluralize the word "artists"

some dude, Tuesday, 11 October 2011 00:18 (fourteen years ago)

artistses?

lucas, Tuesday, 11 October 2011 02:47 (fourteen years ago)

The boyboy young jess (D-40), Wednesday, 12 October 2011 06:51 (fourteen years ago)

turfin' bird (The Reverend), Wednesday, 12 October 2011 07:48 (fourteen years ago)

anyone still listen to this cd

this is a weird measure for me when the album still has only been out for like a month or two -- i usually listen to something a bunch over a week or two weeks and then it falls out of the rotation for a bit until i decide to revisit it -- i just listened to the beyonce album for the first time in a few months. if i break that cycle pretty consistently with an album then i know it's like... top 3 of the year material for me.

yung huma (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 12 October 2011 17:22 (fourteen years ago)

man i really wish i could get into this

P-NASTY (tpp), Wednesday, 12 October 2011 17:29 (fourteen years ago)

Fifty-Three Percenter Godbody Knowledge (The Brainwasher), Wednesday, 12 October 2011 17:32 (fourteen years ago)

⚓ (gr8080), Wednesday, 12 October 2011 21:55 (fourteen years ago)

reference to a "cd" made me briefly panic that the album had dropped without me noticing

had forgotten 1977 existed, who really cares

lex pretend, Wednesday, 12 October 2011 23:21 (fourteen years ago)

couldn't do it more than three times, feels kinda flimsy
i like dude with more bombast and production and scope somehow

loads of personality, loved to chase chickens (forksclovetofu), Thursday, 13 October 2011 02:55 (fourteen years ago)

terius doing records w/o los and tricky is basically like a guy who's only at his best with his backing band going solo

some dude, Thursday, 13 October 2011 02:57 (fourteen years ago)

two weeks pass...

I like "Body Work/Fuck My Brains Out" better than anything on 1977.

Evan R, Friday, 28 October 2011 19:56 (fourteen years ago)

OTM, i was under the impression they were on 1977

⚓ (gr8080), Saturday, 29 October 2011 01:25 (fourteen years ago)

you like those songs better than anything on 1977, which you have not heard, seeing as you thought both songs were on 1977

J0rdan S., Saturday, 29 October 2011 02:24 (fourteen years ago)

no i mean i was under that impression prior to 1977 being released OKAY JORDAN???

thinking back it was probably just because we used this thread to discuss 1977
