Pony will get plenty of love. Thinking about leaving it off as well.
― Spottie_Ottie_Dope, Thursday, 1 September 2011 18:45 (fourteen years ago)
I want in on this.
― billstevejim, Thursday, 1 September 2011 18:46 (fourteen years ago)
awesome, curious to see your ballot dude!
― some dude, Thursday, 1 September 2011 18:46 (fourteen years ago)
it's funny, the original 'say my name' is much more stuttery and timbaland-y than his remix. i guess he had to take in the other direction.
― hardcore oatmeal (Jordan), Thursday, 1 September 2011 18:51 (fourteen years ago)
i prefer the original on that one actually
― D-40, Thursday, 1 September 2011 18:53 (fourteen years ago)
posting Whats So Different itt may just be bolstering me thinking it should be #1. But v. Snoopy Track? HOW TO DECIDE?
― gay socialists smoking mushrooms with their illegal gardeners (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 1 September 2011 18:55 (fourteen years ago)
"What's So Different" is incredible, probably in my top 5.
― some dude, Thursday, 1 September 2011 18:55 (fourteen years ago)
"what's so different" isn't really one of my absolute favorites off that album
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:04 (fourteen years ago)
i really fell in love w/ R&B radio because of the station we kept on at my first summer job in 98/99, so that song always stands out as one of the songs that just murdered me every time i heard it back then.
― some dude, Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:07 (fourteen years ago)
i'll prob vote for "none of ur friends business"
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:08 (fourteen years ago)
that one's great too. i seriously might vote for all 3 proper singles off that album plus some deep cuts.
― some dude, Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:09 (fourteen years ago)
if i had a 100 votes, the rest of the record might make it but shit, just 40 i may get NOYFB in there... maybe...
― gay socialists smoking mushrooms with their illegal gardeners (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:12 (fourteen years ago)
i was p surprised that 'so anxious' was the biggest hit off that album
― :: (Lamp), Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:13 (fourteen years ago)
that was definitely a huge record
― some dude, Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:14 (fourteen years ago)
Yah soo anxious is so dope... I basically like everything on that lp though.
― D-40, Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:23 (fourteen years ago)
Up until this exact moment I had no idea Ludacris "What's Your Fantasy" was not Timbaland.
― billstevejim, Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:32 (fourteen years ago)
I am shocked by this.
really? bangledesh is a p famous producer who jumped off from that.
― gay socialists smoking mushrooms with their illegal gardeners (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:35 (fourteen years ago)
i've never thought of that song as part of the wave of Timbo soundalikes but i can totally hear it now that you mention it
― some dude, Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:35 (fourteen years ago)
it feels too busy to be tim
― strongo hulkington's ghost dad, Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:39 (fourteen years ago)
of that era, anyway
yeah it sounds more like 1998 Tim than 2000 Tim but of course not everyone's gonna pick up on that
― some dude, Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:44 (fourteen years ago)
Looks like I'll be the only one voting for "Right For Me" and "Until The End Of Time."
― billstevejim, Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:58 (fourteen years ago)
The latter is the best song on FutureSexLoveSounds and hardly receives any credit IMO
― billstevejim, Thursday, 1 September 2011 19:59 (fourteen years ago)
i agree, great track (also brings back some 'bell' sounds Tim used a lot circa 100% Ginuwine)
― some dude, Thursday, 1 September 2011 20:01 (fourteen years ago)
I posted this in a different thread a week or 2 ago, but I think it's canon-worthy...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jdkj5FerdU
― billstevejim, Thursday, 1 September 2011 20:06 (fourteen years ago)
"whats your fantasy"sounds way too gutter for tim. His sound was more bourgie r&b ish at the time
― D-40, Thursday, 1 September 2011 20:24 (fourteen years ago)
^ya
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 1 September 2011 20:29 (fourteen years ago)
'bourgie r&b ish' doesn't seem like the right description of the era of "Hey Papi" and "Get Ur Freak On"
― some dude, Thursday, 1 September 2011 20:42 (fourteen years ago)
like that was probably the peak of his club banger period, he was more heavily associated w/ R&B in the '90s, his biggest R&B hit in 2000 was "Try Again," which was not very bourgie. "What's Your Fantasy" isn't exactly a word away from "Phat Rabbit."
― some dude, Thursday, 1 September 2011 20:47 (fourteen years ago)
yeah but still glossy & expensive i guess?
― D-40, Thursday, 1 September 2011 20:53 (fourteen years ago)
i'm just saying bill's misunderstanding isn't all that bizarre given the context
― some dude, Thursday, 1 September 2011 20:55 (fourteen years ago)
yah fair enough im just trying to explain why they seemed like different things to me at the time
― D-40, Thursday, 1 September 2011 21:00 (fourteen years ago)
I must have read some erroneous claim that it was his production, and it sounded just similar enough that I didn't question it.
― billstevejim, Thursday, 1 September 2011 21:13 (fourteen years ago)
i think the string loop just sounded so immediate & mercenary or something, to me, from that song ... just perfectly sleazy & lowest-common-denominator in the best way
― D-40, Thursday, 1 September 2011 21:14 (fourteen years ago)
lol bourgie r&b. what on earth on r&b radio sounded as grimy as some of his drum tracks at that time?
― strongo hulkington's ghost dad, Thursday, 1 September 2011 21:16 (fourteen years ago)
Yeah the strings should have been the dead giveaway.. It was mostly the intro that convinced me.
― billstevejim, Thursday, 1 September 2011 21:16 (fourteen years ago)
ha well, i guess there's a grace & um for lack of a better word poise to his stuff that something like 'whats your fantasy' doesnt have
― D-40, Thursday, 1 September 2011 21:25 (fourteen years ago)
neither of these are criticism of either approach, just differentiating them
yeah, until the end of time is a tune, that and summer love are the JT tracks making mine
― prego, Thursday, 1 September 2011 22:39 (fourteen years ago)
I have a thing for the Venus Vs Mars beat BUT I kind of hate the song... torn.

Raise Up is hella boring
*ducks*
― gay socialists smoking mushrooms with their illegal gardeners (a hoy hoy), Friday, 2 September 2011 19:18 (fourteen years ago)
yeah i prob won't vote for it
― J0rdan S., Friday, 2 September 2011 19:18 (fourteen years ago)
i dont like 'raise up' nearly as much as 'i' for whatever reason -- a bias i've carried since both were out
― D-40, Friday, 2 September 2011 19:23 (fourteen years ago)
my fav first album bubba track was "lovely"
