it makes a certain sense that after years of learning how to play other people's songs really well in concert and especially on Fallon, the Roots are really impressed by and generous toward youtube cover bands

She actually delivers that song quite well, which does not stop it from being pretty bad, but kudos.

You’re quite popular on Facebook. I noticed there were quite a few comments about playing 21+ shows on the tour.

Yeah, this is a big, big issue that I literally just noticed yesterday. I would be lying if I didn’t say that I was super-duper bummed when I realized we were playing 21 and over venues because I think half our fan base is under 21. Not only is it a bad financial move for us to play 21 and over shows because we lose half of our draw, but it’s also not fair to the fans who’ve been waiting to see us for two years, and then we come to their city and we’re there, and they’re not allowed into the venue. I remember not being allowed in the venues when I was a kid and I freakin’ hated it! It sucked. All I wanted to do was see music, I didn’t need to drink, I was super clean. I remember being really frustrated. So it’s actually a really big issue for me. This is our second tour, we don’t have a record label heading up the whole thing and we’re learning what works and what doesn’t. Next tour that’s definitely going to be a priority. We’re going make sure that we play all-ages shows because it’s just not fair just to not do that.
