anyway i asked this because danny boy referred to "soft-serve rappers" in one of the songs from his album

the first time i remember seeing it was when noz used to do polls on his site and one was about who was to blame for 'space age soft serve rappers' (i think andre 3k or kanye won) -- if noz isn't too filled at rage w/ being mentioned on this board again maybe he can verify whether he coined it or picked it up somewhere else

really digging Big Krit's "Return to 4eva" tape. comes across more like an album, but he sounds focused and hungry on it. co-signed Big Mike's Pl3dge from upthread, I got that last month and it's a favorite.

Jay Rock studio album is pretty solid, it does get bogged down with syrupy R&B hooks on the last few tracks, but he sounds ferocious on the first half of the album.

dug on Lil B's "I'm Gay", he's getting a lot of venom from the mixtape community though. people flat out bullying each other on Datpiff's Facebook page when "I Forgive You" dropped.

not digging on Killa Kyleon's Candy Paint...was just kinda there.

I've come around to "Return of 43va". It seemed like he'd gotten too completely serious the first time I listened to it, but I might just have not been in the right mood for it.

I like the Kendrick Lamar album, but can't get over the feeling he sounds like a muppet.
