maybe start a new thread? I think a lot of people steer clear of this one anyway and we'd likely get more eyes/opinions on a separate thread.

the goon albums/mixtapes poll was fun last year and we should definitely do it again but i almost feel like a tracks poll would be even better

i was actually going to do a tracks poll myself, if anyone wants to help out or unless whiney & j0rdan want to do it

my idea was to start out with a nominations pool of every youtube linked in the thread that people could add do

honestly i think the best way to do it would take the nominations, then somehow wittle them down to like... 75 and then whittle them down to 50 or w/e

I would go for like 80 tracks, 40 albums/mixtapes/EPs countdowns. Im not sure there will be 40 good releases by the end of the year, but it would be interesting to see what end up on there.

Any link or name-dropped track ITT is auto-nominated, then people can nom like 20 more on top of that.

Then take top 40 track ballots and top 20 albums ballots.

I'd be happy to help with the images when that time comes.

the first time i remember seeing it was when noz used to do polls on his site and one was about who was to blame for 'space age soft serve rappers' (i think andre 3k or kanye won) -- if noz isn't too filled at rage w/ being mentioned on this board again maybe he can verify whether he coined it or picked it up somewhere else
