yeah totally. i took the line as Baby was on the Forbes list, so Jay uses him as an example of people non-wealthy rappers claim to be as rich as.

the worst one recently was people claiming drake was "dissing" jay-z & kanye on "i'm on one" by saying "the throne is for the taking / watch me take it" (or whatever) -- and then ppl were saying that kanye DISSED DRAKE by saying "niggas talking real reckless / stuntmen"

Never mind 2005-2008, how did Wayne go from "6 Foot 7 Foot" to this? I don't know that it's terrible like some people are saying here - Wayne's performance is generally lax, but the beats are pretty good throughout - but he had 3 years to do this, and he's contributed more than an album's worth of excellent verses elsewhere in that time. I mean, this is a substantial dropoff even from I Am Not A Human Being, which was supposed to be rejected tracks. Maybe he needs to start saving his best work in one place rather than starting from scratch on long-aborning projects every six months because the mood strikes him. Or maybe all the drugs actually worked for him, to a point anyway. Or maybe he just hasn't figured out what a clean and sober Weezy is supposed to sound like.

lil wayne & his record label think that andre 3000 is so unimportant that they neglected and/or forgot to credit him on the cd

OR

lil wayne thinks that an andre 3000 verse is so special and cool that he intentionally didn't credit him on the cd or on any advance release of the tracklist so that it was a surprise to the listener when he started rapping

OR

lil wayne was too stoned to remember who was or was not on his record

I guess I wasn't reading into it that much, because it's not like there's been this whole huge deal about "OMG SURPRISE VERSE" on heavily publicized rap albums.

Also, I know you love to be condescending as fuck to people J0rdan, but I was actually thinking the reason was option c) some stupid label politics shit that meant he couldn't be credited for whatever reason.

Well that was what I was getting at, it seems now so much more common now to have these fully leaked tracklists that let you know anyone with even half a bar (slightly exagerrating here) on the track. Its like, look at all these names! You want to buy this!
