feel like 2 Bad Mice counts though I'm afraid it opens the door to several dozen HxCx discography CDs

pathos of the unwarranted encore (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:17 (fourteen years ago)

I've never even heard the Thunderclap Newman album, just the one single, so drop it if you want.

CLUB PISCOPO (DJP), Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:21 (fourteen years ago)

I feel like there must be tons of great housey/IDM/electronic stuff that would fit here

my life as liz cho (Stevie D(eux)), Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:23 (fourteen years ago)

haha there was a shitty omni trio after that too

king of torts (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:23 (fourteen years ago)

king of torts (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:25 (fourteen years ago)

jesus

Did anyone else in that scene piss away their potent faster than that dude? Maybe Photek (tho I thought he kind of got things back together around Form and Function Pt 2)?

CLUB PISCOPO (DJP), Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:25 (fourteen years ago)

lol "potent" should obv be "potential"

still I guess someone had to be a drum n blouse pioneer

CLUB PISCOPO (DJP), Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:25 (fourteen years ago)

CLUB PISCOPO (DJP), Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:29 (fourteen years ago)

I really like the phrase "he pissed away his potent," like lost his strength!

Sugar-coated Satan Sandwich (Dan Peterson), Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:29 (fourteen years ago)

My '04 and '05 favorite albums never had follow-ups. Been recently wondering what the people in those bands have done since.

Casual Dots s/t
Veronica Lipgloss and the Evil Eyes - Witch's Dagger

tho' I don't think I"d vote for them over Colossal Youth. Guitar Romantic might be my fav of '03.

bendy, Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:30 (fourteen years ago)

What's the deal on one off collaborations e.g. Plant/Krauss, Reed/Cale, Eno/Wobble etc?

Would nominated 'Colourbox' the 1985 album by Colourbox but there's a 'mini-album' of the same name released in 1983, would that be eligible?

The multi-talented F.R. David (Billy Dods), Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:31 (fourteen years ago)

see also: the semi-crummy lfo records after /frequencies/

Dude, no.

my life as liz cho (Stevie D(eux)), Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:31 (fourteen years ago)

really should have instituted an "only nominate the album you would vote for in such a poll" rule at the outset

pathos of the unwarranted encore (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:32 (fourteen years ago)

bird nest roys 'first album'
although they did go on to do that horrible record as the tufnels.

keythhtyek, Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:33 (fourteen years ago)

What's the deal on one off collaborations e.g. Plant/Krauss, Reed/Cale, Eno/Wobble etc?

pathos of the unwarranted encore (underrated aerosmith bootlegs I have owned), Thursday, 11 August 2011 20:33 (fourteen years ago)

oh, but you didn't institute that rule. you didn't.

really should have instituted an "only nominate the album you would vote for in such a poll" rule at the outset

okay mister, I would vote for any of the dance albums I've listed on this thread

I would also make everyone listen to Nasa, because that's just one of those things everyone needs to do once

Ugly Casanova

Terry Manning - Home Sweet Home. only solo album by the guy who engineered "I'll Take You There", Zep III & Tres Hombres, released on a Stax subsidiary in 1970, & opens with a ludicrously awesome 10 minute "Savoy Truffle".

Logg - Logg
Cheri Dennis - In And Out Of Love
Shareefa - Point of No Return

homophobic music by braindead primates (The Brainwasher), Thursday, 11 August 2011 21:45 (fourteen years ago)

What about Rise by Louie & The Lovers? There was follow-up that was thought lost forever, but was eventually recovered and released, but only in a "Complete Recordings" collection, so one could argue they could be categorized as bonus tracks to the original set.

Mucho! Macho! Honcho!: Turn Off The Dark (C. Grisso/McCain), Thursday, 11 August 2011 21:56 (fourteen years ago)
