i know someone who was set to be a guest on that show but i don't think it happened in the end.

i like to think they reconsidered because of my razzing.

king of torts (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Monday, 8 August 2011 03:15 (fourteen years ago)

you should go on there strongo

markers, Monday, 8 August 2011 03:23 (fourteen years ago)

well it's been my goal to get into the basic cable pop culture show talking-head game for a while now

king of torts (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Monday, 8 August 2011 03:24 (fourteen years ago)

his guest tonight was 3 Doors Down

that's just how he's living

i would have a lot to say about 3 doors down, for instance

king of torts (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Monday, 8 August 2011 03:26 (fourteen years ago)

most of it would be unfit for broadcast, but nevertheless

I just wrote an impassioned email to Warren Buffett begging him to bankroll this show - I pitched it to him as "Captain Strongo's Palace of Pain" just fyi

Interesting... I always thought it was "a" but I hear the "th" now.

EveningStar (Sund4r), Monday, 8 August 2011 04:11 (fourteen years ago)

it's "the"

am0n duul ii (Whiney G. Weingarten), Monday, 8 August 2011 15:59 (fourteen years ago)

I missed this poll, but it was flawed as both options were incorrect. The correct answer is "the voice inside moy 'ed".

i saw these dudes live with maura last night and she was like, "it's totally 'the'"

couldn't stop laughing during the chorus, honestly.

mutant slow drum (BradNelson), Monday, 8 August 2011 16:35 (fourteen years ago)

also tom was accessing a cure-ish guitar tone for the coda in lieu of a piano, it was pretty great

plus lasers and rain

hoppus on music is the most pathetic show in the history of television

om nom nom nnamdi asomugha (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 8 August 2011 22:54 (fourteen years ago)

lol i had no idea it was actually called "hoppus on music." it sounds like a column from the saturday evening post or something.

king of torts (strongo hulkington's ghost dad), Monday, 8 August 2011 22:56 (fourteen years ago)

he had chad smith and flea from the chili peppers on and he told them that blink 182 had never had a #1 on the modern rock charts because there was always a chili peppers record out that kept him from being number one, it was some real sad alt-rock salieri shit

he also had travis barker on as a guest and he asked barker for some hip hop recommendations and he said odd future

om nom nom nnamdi asomugha (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 8 August 2011 22:58 (fourteen years ago)

sounds amazing to me

markers, Monday, 8 August 2011 23:01 (fourteen years ago)

it was originally called "a different spin" but was retooled and retitled recently. the original co-host is this comedian i went to college, true story she was my love interest in a student film! she was funny on the show and it had a decent relaxed vibe when it was an hour long, now it's just a half hour and kind of a bland nothing.

some dude, Monday, 8 August 2011 23:01 (fourteen years ago)

!

markers, Monday, 8 August 2011 23:02 (fourteen years ago)

so you're basically best friends with tom delonge

markers, Monday, 8 August 2011 23:02 (fourteen years ago)

ok, it was my voice inside his yed, i admit it

some dude, Monday, 8 August 2011 23:04 (fourteen years ago)

sounds amazing to me

horseshoe, Monday, 8 August 2011 23:15 (fourteen years ago)

yeah but if you take off his pants he'll just turn on the tv iirc

some dude, Monday, 8 August 2011 23:40 (fourteen years ago)

some dude, Monday, 8 August 2011 23:40 (fourteen years ago)

I assumed it was "a" but "the" is much, much better. Kinda fits in with my theory that AVA was about taking a savior complex that developed around a specific troubled person ("the voice") and changing the target to be all troubled people.

can't remember why i picked this awful name (forapper), Tuesday, 9 August 2011 02:11 (fourteen years ago)

girl at work was playing this on her iphone, asked her which one, she said she never knew

Peepee Soaked Heckhole (zachlyon), Monday, 22 August 2011 06:15 (fourteen years ago)

next time you see her, ask her if she thinks it's "head" or "yed"

markers, Monday, 22 August 2011 06:19 (fourteen years ago)

at that point i just started singing along and super-emphasizing the "yed" so i think that might've biased her
