like, as a "rap journalist" myself i'm wary of "covering" asap myself since i've had some interactions on tumblr & twitter w/ RNT. it's not a huge deal in the grand scheme tho. it mostly sux cuz dude abandoned his blog, which was the best

yeah jaxon this sound is pretty big in rap blog world atm, if you're into it there is a lot of it. my only gripes with it as a trend are that while i like some clams casino & squadda b beats its a bit too weak drumswise & i find strong hooks are compromised for the murky/ethereal stoner vibe. n a bd rly i just don't listen to it in large quantities. check out recent wiz khalifa output 2, if not aesthetically identical a lot of this feels like it has trickled down from that
