1 for Condition Of The Heart
1 for Why U Wanna Treat Me So Bad
1 for How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore

1 for Strange Relationship

kinda shocked 'head' didn't place higher.

Not that shocked personally, but slightly disappointed. "Head" was my #2. Dirty Mind is weirdly underrated these days, at least in comparison to Purple Rain or 1999.

I think maybe because DM and Controversy are relatively shorter in duration they maybe get less rockist attention

Dirty Mind is still totally (over)rated above 1999 and a lot of (better) albums

I have always liked Controversy more than Dirty Mind

and 'head' is maybe the quintessential example of early, raw, dirty prince funk.

Parade will always be my favorite, followed by Sign O' The Times and 1999

Purple Rain is probably my favorite album by any artist.

the fact that we haven't seen a single PR track so far makes me wonder if anything from it won't place. maybe just one or two songs?

btw does reconciling the two "Uptown" entries affect its placement or are there overlaps in the point totals that keep it at 23?

basically all that happened was I saw it was a track from Dirty Mind at 50 and thought 'oh damn yeah what a great album it's also got Private Joy for example, really love that one and especially the 'If anybody asks - YOU BELONG TO PRINCE' bit, yeah' and fingers started typing the wrong thing.

so there was no duplicate Uptown action. I just typed the wrong words.
