love pusha because, well, because i pretty much always love pusha

not tyler's best, but hardly his worst. and i don't think in this case it's so much that he's trying to cram words in, as that he deliberately interrupts his flow to make it seem more conversational & off the cuff

also we’re divorced now and i hate this movie. (contenderizer), Friday, 8 July 2011 22:28 (fourteen years ago)

great neptunes production

sisilafami, Friday, 8 July 2011 23:24 (fourteen years ago)

its painful how seemingly unaware of the bad caricature of himself he's doing

i love pusha on it tho, yeah

flopson, Saturday, 9 July 2011 19:54 (fourteen years ago)

call all destroyer, Sunday, 10 July 2011 13:14 (fourteen years ago)

blackenedwhite reissue is out

bummed that it's missing "stripclub" and "loco", coda of the latter is one of my fave OF moments

legit releases is killing music

tupac, bach (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 21 July 2011 16:59 (fourteen years ago)

okay, that's great.
J0rdan OTM about pusha's first verse, I like his second one too

pandemic, Thursday, 21 July 2011 17:05 (fourteen years ago)

I like it, why did he use the walking paradox line again tho?

streetball technician in the flesh (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Thursday, 21 July 2011 17:10 (fourteen years ago)

callback? idk

tupac, bach (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 21 July 2011 17:11 (fourteen years ago)

the weirder thing for me was tyler earnestly bragging about "yonkers" video's view numbers

tupac, bach (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 21 July 2011 17:12 (fourteen years ago)

love it!

No Broehner (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 21 July 2011 17:14 (fourteen years ago)

yeah pusha is great on this, best in awhile

tyler needs to watch it with his pop culture celebrity references, those guys actually like late period eminem

van ingalls wilder (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, 21 July 2011 18:30 (fourteen years ago)

Agree.

streetball technician in the flesh (Spottie_Ottie_Dope), Thursday, 21 July 2011 18:37 (fourteen years ago)

"tighter than chad hugo's pupils" wtf is that even supposed to mean?

van ingalls wilder (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, 21 July 2011 18:40 (fourteen years ago)

chad hugo is asian

tupac, bach (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 21 July 2011 18:43 (fourteen years ago)

yeah i get he was going for some stupid asian punchline but do asians have smaller *pupils* than other races?

i mean i don't think so at least, just poorly constructed punchline, dumb/offensive in concept and poorly executed

van ingalls wilder (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, 21 July 2011 18:56 (fourteen years ago)

i think pupils are usually a weed reference.. thats how i took it

billstevejim, Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:14 (fourteen years ago)

it's definitely an asian joke

tupac, bach (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:15 (fourteen years ago)

i thought weed dilated your pupils?

van ingalls wilder (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:19 (fourteen years ago)

guys, it's tyler, the creator. making a crack about chad hugo being asian. this is obvious.

tupac, bach (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:19 (fourteen years ago)

don't overthink it

tupac, bach (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:20 (fourteen years ago)

"maybe chad hugo had just come from the optometrist"

tupac, bach (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:21 (fourteen years ago)

maybe he's referring to chad hugo's students

hardcore oatmeal (Jordan), Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:22 (fourteen years ago)

maybe it was a real cryptic dilated peoples diss #shotfired

van ingalls wilder (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:24 (fourteen years ago)

guys, it's tyler, the creator. making a crack about chad hugo being asian. this is obvious.

harbl bosses (Whiney G. Weingarten), Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:25 (fourteen years ago)

just a protip to anyone out there who might be plotting further "odd future are terrible misogynists" thinkpieces, make sure you don't quote the one song that's an explicit parody of gangster rap http://jezebel.com/5822872/misogynist-lyrics-still-not-novel-or-groundbreaking

tupac, bach (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:46 (fourteen years ago)

that was sad

No Broehner (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:50 (fourteen years ago)

I was curious to see what the hit song that someone had just written about beating up a woman was. Oh, it's a decade old Eminem album track.

Number None, Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:52 (fourteen years ago)

"Kim" wasn't actually a hit song, was it?

PAJAMARALLS? PAJAMALWAYS! (DJP), Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:53 (fourteen years ago)

I mean, "I Love The Way You Lie" would have made sense in context at least

PAJAMARALLS? PAJAMALWAYS! (DJP), Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:54 (fourteen years ago)

I figured it was some Chris Brown track I had ignored

xp

No Broehner (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:54 (fourteen years ago)

That was my first thought too

Number None, Thursday, 21 July 2011 19:54 (fourteen years ago)

i do not like the second pusha verse

night of the living based gods (flopson), Thursday, 21 July 2011 20:58 (fourteen years ago)

generous doler out of lollies (forksclovetofu), Sunday, 24 July 2011 15:25 (fourteen years ago)

Just wanted to add my voice to the chorus of approval for Frank Ocean's 'Nostalgia/Ultra'.

moley, Wednesday, 27 July 2011 10:59 (fourteen years ago)

yeah me too; i tried skimming this thread to see if there was any discussion of it, it's sweet

jpeg 2000 (schlump), Wednesday, 27 July 2011 11:01 (fourteen years ago)

Yeah, he should have his own thread, there's so much to talk about with that album.

moley, Wednesday, 27 July 2011 11:04 (fourteen years ago)

it's gonna end up being on my top 10

generous doler out of lollies (forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 27 July 2011 12:19 (fourteen years ago)

Seconded. In fact top 5.

pandemic, Wednesday, 27 July 2011 12:25 (fourteen years ago)

I couldn't make it through the frank ocean thing, guess I should try again

big RZA in my backyard (Edward III), Wednesday, 27 July 2011 16:03 (fourteen years ago)

don't overthink it

I didn't... This is really what I thought he meant. Racism goes over my head again...

billstevejim, Thursday, 28 July 2011 05:38 (fourteen years ago)

guys

billstevejim, Thursday, 28 July 2011 05:42 (fourteen years ago)

tyler is interviewed by flocka in the new Interview

J0rdan S., Thursday, 28 July 2011 19:27 (fourteen years ago)

J0rdan - Is that new Frank Ocean track any good do you know? When I clicked on the link at Pitchfork my Norton informed me something was attacking my computer! Tegan and Sara presumably.

pandemic, Thursday, 28 July 2011 19:39 (fourteen years ago)
