“I’m not too mad about not speaking to Noel. Especially because of the fact he has dumped the Labour Party for them Conservative b*****ds, that’s serious, that’s blood. Liam would never do that, never.”

Algerian Goalkeeper, Sunday, 28 July 2013 16:25 (twelve years ago)

“I don’t blame him for cheating on Patsy Kensit, Pasty Hens**t, she was awful,” Tommy said. “She is awful, she whistles when she talks. But I think Nicole’s pretty genuine and I love her sister as well.”

kinder, Sunday, 28 July 2013 16:35 (twelve years ago)

then you find out he hasn't even met them

Algerian Goalkeeper, Sunday, 28 July 2013 16:37 (twelve years ago)

mm, bit, um, repetitive, that story.

They must have spent all day with him, without him ever needing to buy a drink at all...

Mark G, Sunday, 28 July 2013 16:53 (twelve years ago)

Tommy, who lives in the modest house in Burnage, Manchester, where Liam grew up, was standing in his back garden with blood dripping from his head and back when we first visited him.

A big rock had fallen on him as he was mending a fence. We took him to A&E for treatment but he shrugged off his injury to head for the pub.

Lol omg wtf

Other than that, the list is pretty much nice enough. Except it would have been much better without James Brown, but that goes without saying....

New one isn't bad but the tempo could use a kick in the arse
It also sounds nearly identical to the oasis ripoff I penned for my old band 15 years ago

Maybe readers of Mojo have voted Lee Mavers as The Greatest Frontman In Rock History.

Wewlay Bewlay (Tom D.), Tuesday, 15 August 2017 17:46 (eight years ago)

oh word? Did Lee Mavers know how to electrify the crowd by standing stock still with this hands behind his back too?

Universal LULU Nation (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 15 August 2017 18:45 (eight years ago)

i'll think you'll find that liam's stagecraft involved a lot of bobbing, swaying, and leaning while standing with his hands behind his back

-_- (jim in vancouver), Tuesday, 15 August 2017 19:11 (eight years ago)

i watched supersonic a couple of weeks ago and i keep having oasis songs in my head now and have been playing the first two albums on spotify a lot

I've not been even remotely enthused about the band oasis since about 1995

-_- (jim in vancouver), Tuesday, 15 August 2017 19:14 (eight years ago)

neither were the band oasis if the subsequents records are anything to go by

fair point

Universal LULU Nation (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 15 August 2017 19:30 (eight years ago)

Always bemused by the amount of tears over oasis on ilm. Something something the fact of their popularity was also something something ilm ppl hate them. To act as if the popularity then becomes a reason to react against them is absurd.

The reaction to a q list, a fucking q list mind, upthread is ridiculous. A fucking q list!

jk rowling obituary thread (darraghmac), Tuesday, 15 August 2017 23:41 (eight years ago)

the first two album are completely classic.. and yeah they make me laff they are funny guys

brimstead, Wednesday, 16 August 2017 01:15 (eight years ago)

i am grateful for the american ilxors who can appreciate the gallaghers as musicians and clowns, sorta like finding people who also appreciate pauly shore or keanu reeves

brimstead, Wednesday, 16 August 2017 01:20 (eight years ago)

that analogy does not make sense

brimstead, Wednesday, 16 August 2017 01:21 (eight years ago)

No-one outside the US knows who Pauly Shore is so... it does make sense?

Wewlay Bewlay (Tom D.), Wednesday, 16 August 2017 08:32 (eight years ago)

If you think defining cinematic masterpieces such as 'In The Army Now' and 'Encino Man' haven't travelled across the Atlantic, you are sorely mistaken.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 16 August 2017 09:08 (eight years ago)

Maybe it's just me then, I had to google the guy, I know the name but I had no idea what he looked like.

Wewlay Bewlay (Tom D.), Wednesday, 16 August 2017 09:43 (eight years ago)

you're missing out, tom

three weeks pass...

Heard some shitty old plodding c-list Britpop song on the radio - slightly baffled how I hadn't heard it at the time, but it was really sub-Oasis pish, frontman desperately trying to sound like Liam in his heyday but somehow even more whiney, lyrics excruciating, actually made me slightly pine for the awful cheese of Be Here Now.

Anyway I don't need to tell you what it was.

Something from the first Robbie Williams album?

I'm secretly hoping I like this album so I can place it high up on my EOY poll ballot.
