Fairly impressed by this. rtc I think I remember you saying that with the way the scene was heading in general, Naughty's tunes might no longer mix well with everything else out there. I can def see that with some of his productions on this, and also I guess the slightly trancey synths on some of his tunes might not be up everyone's street (on paper they're not really up mine). But hearing his style of tunes back to back like this is quite seductive for me, he seems like a producer that's full of ideas and that really communicates when you're listening.

that ruby lee track is good - its like typical champion but more melodic which youd think would take away from his style but it actually brings out something better in his production.

Yeah I hear what you're saying. The One remix is quite freakish really, def an odd mixture of moods on it. Finally In Love remix got used on a few mixtapes iirc, but didn't get much radio play for some reason, though I think Pioneer played it a bit.
Will try and track down those new tunes you mentioned - think I've heard Expensive before but can't remember anything about how it sounds (them useful posts there, lol).

I'd say the second half is possibly the most consistently aggressive marcus has been since the fabled Nov 2008 MC set.

NB. "as aggressive as" does not mean "as good as" obv. There's very little recorded music as good as the Nov 2008 set.

Still that 70 min tune into that Nasty/Bassboy tune into the accordion tune is pretty rrrrrushy IMO.

Pointless late reply - yeah I thought the Marcus 13th July set was pretty good overall, I guess the only complaint was that about 2/3rds in it seemed like every tune was banging out the same bassline. MCs were on point though. Got the podcast sitting on comp so will try and ID that 70 minute track in a bit.

i keep listening to this 70min track on marcus and wondering if i've got the right set, what's the big deal? some of the sounds make me think mr tickle/dva but i wouldnt set my stall
