yeah i feel you -- i already explained itt and in another one why "make up bag" touched a nerve with me personally and i'm not really telling anyone else what to think about it

have this same conflict re Make Up Bag in particular - love the sound, hate the sentiment (don't give a fuck about its technical quality as a song), will always delight and frustrate in equal measure. same goes for the title track (dope piano chords and self harmonies, awful shit like "sorry ladies but there ain't nothing like a smart bitch"). but it's 'in character' etc. and maybe prince wrote something just as bad one time and i've just not noticed.

The panning drums on the title track are really doing it for me today. Still his third-best album but I feel like since it came out I've forgotten how enjoyable minor Terius is.
