ya, i think my least favorite part of the remix is the refrain where the original dude sings "they'll be out for us" in that indie-anthem-fuxxor voice. the original wasn't as bad as i expected from that one line (i quite like the cowbells!), but it still sounds like a third string dfa act.

somehow the aeroplane remix makes me forget all about that douchey neckwear...

i mean i loled right off the bat when i saw that FF had a male vocalist and realized aeroplane had said "hey i know! lets get a girl to sing it instead!"

That video of the "God Only Knows" edit was shot on the night I saw them! I'm in the audience somewhere.

Re the Flying Mix:

a) Isn't Tensnake's "Tavira" totally amazing?

b) The Aeroplane remix of Lindstrom & Solale is such an amazingly compulsive track, that guitar is insane. The sudden organ vamps remind me of Fela Kuti for some reason. Although it does make me think that if Aeroplane blow up it will kinda mean that Reverso 68 wuz robbed.

one of my favorite things about aeroplane is that now they're the first thing on my ipod, instead of fucking aesop rock.
