So, I'm giving this Outloud thing a try, anyone else out there?

Seems to be working much better than Listening Room, great!

Still rolling with good tunes tonight if anybody is around.

outloud is brilliant, been using it for the entire day

Didn't have the opportunity to drop in yesterday. When did they add thumbnail art to the activity feed? I like it. Aesthetically nice but still not cluttery.

tried it. but wonder if my net admins have blocked audio streaming as i can never hear anything.
have tried IE/chrome/FF and the results are the same.

It must be on your end, because I've heard both tracks you uploaded.

Or maybe your soundcard is fried?

soundcard is rocking out to windoze player gubbins without issue .. but you will be right. tis my end and/or net admins.

Tighten up the logo and maybe play with the color scheme slightly and I think they've finally got it right.

so it could be a browser plugin/permission issue.

This looks very interesting! Do I need a FB or Twitter account to participate in this? I got rid of both a while ago, but can I just make a new twitter-account and join in? Is it invite only? I don't have any experience with this.

yeah, fb or twitter login is needed. several people here have created dummy twitter accounts to use it, though.

re: turntable.fm

Can't remember if it was mentioned here or not, but I just posted this in another place and thought I'd reiterate here.

I've played around on turntable.fm a little bit and, while it has some cool aspects, it turns the experience into more of a contest or game than I'm comfortable with. I'd rather just hang with people I know and play tunes instead of voting things up or down. Also, the chat portion of turntable.fm is deemphasized in favor of some totally dumb "virtual club" setting which looks like an 8 year-old's video game. No thanks.

New Outloud layout is cool.

when not connected to work network, this outloud thing works like a treat, when connected to work network, nada.
clearly the net admins have blocked the audio streaming.
probably for the best, otherwise i'd get hooked and never do any work.

As work blocks a) audio streaming and b) Twitter, and as the streaming doesn't work on my iPhone, I have to confine my listening to leisure hours. :-(
