there's not a single remotely poor song on this tbh

i could live without 'loving you no more' i guess but i don't mind it

uberweiss, Thursday, 9 June 2011 21:51 (fourteen years ago)

drake aside i think "loving you no more" is really dope, was my fav hit off the album until "your love"

some dude, Thursday, 9 June 2011 21:59 (fourteen years ago)

I always stop it b4 that song

The Reverend, Thursday, 9 June 2011 21:59 (fourteen years ago)

"loving you no more" completely rescued by SO MANY TEARS I CRIED

Brad Nelson (BradNelson), Thursday, 9 June 2011 22:33 (fourteen years ago)

meanwhile i could really do without "change" but its context in the deluxe edition ("i know"/"loving you no more" / "coming home") totally elevates it. it is sort of the bottom of the record, the whisper of a completely gone thing.

Brad Nelson (BradNelson), Thursday, 9 June 2011 22:36 (fourteen years ago)

also haha i used to dislike "your love" but oh how i was the most wrong

that coda

Love Come Down is shockingly great. I don't know why I never had it before.

"Someone To Love Me" is so killer, that beat is the heart of this album

Euler, Tuesday, 12 July 2011 20:13 (fourteen years ago)

when he says "I need you, God help me, please love me, c'mon", it's a hair-raising moment, a naked & raw moment

Euler, Tuesday, 12 July 2011 20:15 (fourteen years ago)

actually the beat immediately following that song is the album's heartbeat

bros -izing bros (k3vin k.), Tuesday, 12 July 2011 20:16 (fourteen years ago)

you may be right: right into "Hate You Now", but it's like one continuous & awesome song

you haven't heard that til now?!

dayo, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 10:02 (fourteen years ago)

I had, but forgot about it. I was under the impression that it's oretty obscure though? Maybe not.

The Reverend, Tuesday, 13 September 2011 10:53 (fourteen years ago)

oh yeah it's only on the deluxe version. I love it though, probably in my top 5 from the album, or even top 3.

Hell, I only discovered "Sade" last month.

Exile in lolville (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 22:09 (fourteen years ago)

I am also semi-appalled at myself because I am enjoying a song with Drake on it

DO NOT CALL (The Brainwasher), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 22:44 (fourteen years ago)

at this point for me Love Love >> LTTP

both are classic though obviously

DO NOT CALL (The Brainwasher), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 22:45 (fourteen years ago)

ha such an in-character challop

the version of "i know" from dawn's mixtape was similarly revelatory for me but i do really love chris brown's verse on that :/

tebow gotti (k3vin k.), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 22:58 (fourteen years ago)

that's such a challop

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 25 January 2012 23:00 (fourteen years ago)

i didn't end up listening to love love that much... it's cool and sounds great, but the originals work better for a reason

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 25 January 2012 23:00 (fourteen years ago)

I may agree with DJP on that point

dayo, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 23:01 (fourteen years ago)

still love "Someone To Love Me" so much, if I were gonna rate these I'd put it just after "Ass On The Floor".

I'd also rate "Shades" & "Coming Home" super high, never got overexposed to the latter on radio & I traveled a lot to this album last year (to Paris no less) so coming home was on my mind a bunch.

Euler, Wednesday, 25 January 2012 23:05 (fourteen years ago)

it is also true that "Coming Home" has a completely different impact when heard at the end of this album instead of 8 million times in a row on the radio

I spend a lot of time thinking about apricots (DJP), Wednesday, 25 January 2012 23:06 (fourteen years ago)

totally
