i like body work alright. feels like an album track tho

or some element is missing

they definitely sound like they were finished last night at 3am when he was drunk off patron and half-distractedly chatting with fans on the internet

Am I the only one that's way into these? I'm listening to them on nice headphones and they sound incredible. And "Fuck My Brains Out" is the funkiest thing I think I've ever heard from him.

i like them more with every listen, which is pretty much always the case with dream stuff for me.

must say, though, i'm glad i don't really mind 'odious' lyrics a la make-up bag. because fuck my brains out is pretty odious

have been letting these spin for the last hour or so, and liking them more than i did at first. "body work" is dece but slight. i guess it works okay, but hardly stands out, feels generic. "fuck my brains out" is fucking repulsive, and i wish i could get past that, cuz evan's right, it's a funky-ass track.

so FMBO rips prince on the bridge, obviously, but the delivery of "she know i'm a virgo, and i'm impossible to please" reminds me of ... something. shit, i can't put my finger on it! bugging the hell out of me.

I like both, but my first impression is mostly how heavy they are sonically compared to most of his work. Really thick and bass-dominant.

Really perplexed by the "meh, meh, meh, yeah" part.

Some of the production details on "Fuck My Brains Out" are amazing. That quick, cascading bass synth during the second verse!

i entertain this fantasy that artists who seem gifted in one area will possess overarching aesthetic ~visions~ that work in and connect with other contexts, that talented musicians will be able, for instance, to recognize and even produce good graphic design and prose. i suppose that this is a elitist fantasy, in that it snootily elevates what i take to be a "refined artistic sensibility" (harumph) over sheer will and/or the accidental gifts of providence.

Yeah, most of it is either good or great, actually. 40 tracks is a lot to get through in between Christmas preparations though and terius starting it all off with orgasmic moans (a low point) means I won’t be playing this in the kitchen while the kids are home for the holidays.

just hearing radio killa again is nice & all i need honestly

I listened to the whole thing yesterday, but I also went back to his first two solo albums and parts of his third for a sense of contrast.

So: this new behemoth is nice, you know? It's atmospheric and at the least has a skein of what most of us love about him but honestly it's lavish mood music for a stoned orgy - not the concentrated doses of T. Nash that one might desire. I'll definitely come back to this, though.

(That said, there ARE standouts, and hopefully he'll whittle this down to a 10-12 track collection.)
