x-post Audio Two is more a single(s) group.

President Keyes, Friday, 3 June 2011 17:00 (fifteen years ago)

(TLET would have been #1 on my ballot, and is one of my top 5 favorite albums of all time)

low-rent black gangster nicknamed Bootsy (DJP), Friday, 3 June 2011 17:00 (fifteen years ago)

Midnight Marauders is my favorite Tribe album. Seeing them on that tour with De La cemented it's placement for all time.

such a fucking monster of an album, and another fucking brutal beginning that sledgehammers you into loving it

low-rent black gangster nicknamed Bootsy (DJP), Friday, 3 June 2011 17:06 (fifteen years ago)

re: the predator - i was thinking about naming the singles poll 'wreck yourself before you check THE ILM RAP MUSIC etc.'

WHO THE FUCK READS THE (a hoy hoy), Friday, 3 June 2011 17:06 (fifteen years ago)

ever have an album you like everything about except the way it sounds, like the actual frequencies it puts out? that's me with fear of a black planet. I like the songs, the rhymes, etc, but the production job on it keeps me at a distance. every couple of years I go back to it hoping I can get with it but so far, no.

love "welcome to the terrordome" tho.

backpacker van beethoven (Edward III), Friday, 3 June 2011 17:07 (fifteen years ago)

the infamous was my #2. once had a relationship end badly and sat in my room listening to that album on repeat drinking whisky alone. sounds bad but it was the best thing ever.

death certificate is my shit too

Bert Macklin, F.B.I. (thebingo), Friday, 3 June 2011 17:09 (fifteen years ago)

"Welcome To The Terrordome" is my least favorite of the big songs on Fear of a Black Planet, tbh.

Illmatic for #1. I can't imagine anyone not placing it somewhere on their ballot. [Is promptly proved wrong]

We need to talk about Bevan (DL), Friday, 3 June 2011 17:15 (fifteen years ago)

President Keyes, Friday, 3 June 2011 17:15 (fifteen years ago)

Bert Macklin, F.B.I. (thebingo), Friday, 3 June 2011 17:17 (fifteen years ago)

Really surprised Low End isn't top 5. Seriously.

EZ Snappin, Friday, 3 June 2011 17:17 (fifteen years ago)

illmatic is great, no READY TO DIE.

Bert Macklin, F.B.I. (thebingo), Friday, 3 June 2011 17:18 (fifteen years ago)

I can't remember if I voted for Illmatic, kinda don't think so. It's good and all, but I don't really love it to death or anything.

metally ill (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 3 June 2011 17:18 (fifteen years ago)

metally ill (Shakey Mo Collier), Friday, 3 June 2011 17:19 (fifteen years ago)

xpost I'm the exact opposite - prefer Nation song for song but adore the production on Black Planet - so dense and heavy, like nothing else.

Predicted final 10 (not in order): De La, PE, Beasties, Dre, Outkast, Nas, Biggie, GZA, Raekwon, Wu

We need to talk about Bevan (DL), Friday, 3 June 2011 17:19 (fifteen years ago)
