WHO THE FUCK READS THE (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 2 June 2011 16:00 (fifteen years ago)

I don't care if you're white black a bitch or a fucking bum off of the streets. If you rap about shooting people, smoking blunts, wearing timbs, drinking hennessy, and whatever else, I'll buy your music. If you rap about your girl, but don't call her a bitch, fuck you. If you rap about the economy and how its hurts migrant workers, fuck you. If you rap about your rap telekenisis or some equally retarded nerd shit, fuck you. That basically how I break it down to an extent.

you're nobody til somebody SBs you (symsymsym), Thursday, 2 June 2011 16:00 (fifteen years ago)

^^^^ how ethan helped ruin ILM in one post

"a couple americans voted dizzee too, so don't just go blaming us."

Someone needs to start Calling Out Names.

metally ill (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 2 June 2011 16:07 (fifteen years ago)

I don't even really dig Biggie but Dizee over him? gtfo

metally ill (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 2 June 2011 16:08 (fifteen years ago)

you realize the issue here isn't the quality of the stuff beating Slick Rick, it's that people aren't remembering Slick Rick esp. in the context of albums

low-rent black gangster nicknamed Bootsy (DJP), Thursday, 2 June 2011 16:09 (fifteen years ago)

Nice one w/ EPMD. My top 30.

Spottie_Ottie_Dope, Thursday, 2 June 2011 16:09 (fifteen years ago)

lol tpp

you're nobody til somebody SBs you (symsymsym), Thursday, 2 June 2011 16:10 (fifteen years ago)

also the um, lack of variety here is kinda sad... every Wu album, every De La album, every Madvillain record (what, no KMD? lol). like, the genre is broader than this, guys. I made a conscious effort to not vote for multiple albums by the same act (um lol with a few exceptions like DU! haha) but I guess not too many others felt the same...

metally ill (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 2 June 2011 16:10 (fifteen years ago)

it's that people aren't remembering Slick Rick esp. in the context of albums

yeah this is probably true. if some Dizzee song beats out La Di Da Di tho...

metally ill (Shakey Mo Collier), Thursday, 2 June 2011 16:10 (fifteen years ago)

I was wondering when EPMD would show up. I had one of their other albums higher in my list but glad to see the debut make it this high.

WHO THE FUCK READS THE (a hoy hoy), Thursday, 2 June 2011 16:24 (fifteen years ago)

dizzee beating odb in the "rap albums where you can only understand 30% of the words" showdown is equally as fucked up as him beating biggie & slick rick
