Marshall Mathers LP is all over the place, but totally a landmark album. Deserves to be exactly where it is. "Kill You" is unfuckwithable.

I will never ever be able to tolerate Ghostface's screechy voice and offbeat flow for the length of a whole solo album... I do like Bulletproof Wallets though, partly because it has so many guests (so less Ghostface).

I voted for a different Missy album, but that one is great too. her album covers are so random, not sure what undersea mines have to do with ecstasy lol... both those Ghost albums are great but am holding out hope that his actual best album will place higher. Tuomas totally off the money about the best album artist of the 00s btw.

really? it may be the best album of 88, which is saying something. it is totally worth its left field charm cult as well

the artwork for the next record still makes me giggle.

Ultramags is some kind of pinnacle - also a great bridge record between old and new school stuff at the time.

The production on Critical Beatdown was eye-opening at the time Ced Gee was making magic.

Crtitical Beatdown is pretty great, though I actually like the other rapper (Ced Gee?) better than Koo Keith on it. Keith's flow is especially weak on it, it's all start-stop-start-stop, as if he constantly has to pause to think what to say next. Beatwise, though, it's one of the top 20 rap albums of all time.
