J0rdan S., Tuesday, 31 May 2011 01:09 (fifteen years ago)

'nails posh so fierce with the gold gloss' is my fav

would be 'lookin like madonna but i'm flossin like ivana' if she didn't say '...TRUMP!' afterward.

song's sort of like lil b for me, though, where i will never listen to the song on my computer without watching the video along with it

Jacques_Lamure, Tuesday, 31 May 2011 02:46 (fifteen years ago)

needs lil b on the remix

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 31 May 2011 02:51 (fifteen years ago)

you've seen that rare vid of them smoking a blunt right?

Jacques_Lamure, Tuesday, 31 May 2011 02:52 (fifteen years ago)

yes -- also she directed "insane", one of my secrete fav lil b videos

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 31 May 2011 02:53 (fifteen years ago)

ya his beads are majestic in that vid

Jacques_Lamure, Tuesday, 31 May 2011 02:56 (fifteen years ago)

"don't get a 360" - wff

markers, Tuesday, 31 May 2011 21:35 (fifteen years ago)

are "360" deals the kind where the label fucks you out of all your money not just the money from recordings?

brodie to the max (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Tuesday, 31 May 2011 21:47 (fifteen years ago)

Lee-zhurrrrrrr is the best bit.

yeah, which is a bad deal most of the time but there are instances where it might make more sense; they front you a bunch of money, you gamble on succeeding. kreayshawn is one artist where it seems like a stronger bet than it would for WFF, who could just bank off of a growing grassroots of street CDs; if kreayshawn is gonna pop its going to be as a pop artist, not as a rapper grinding out mixtapes every couple of months. shes broke -- still does video directing to pay rent! -- so i makes sense to do the sink-or-swim career approach, capitalize now

i mean, ostensibly it does. not sure which artists have succeeded w/ the 360 deal yet

lebroner (D-40), Tuesday, 31 May 2011 21:59 (fifteen years ago)

nah anyone signing a 360 is a sucker, especially if they have any kind of buzz that ensures they'll be offered a deal from more than one place

also "million dollar deal" isn't as impressive as it sounds considering that that number represents the budget for the whole project, and that's like the bare minimum it takes to release an album

a http://bit.ly/kv895M (some dude), Tuesday, 31 May 2011 22:17 (fifteen years ago)

This song is so great... So many great lines....wasn't keen on the earlier stuff at all though. Not an *obvious* act to throw monies at.

Neil O'Jism (Craigo Boingo), Tuesday, 31 May 2011 22:32 (fifteen years ago)

In the interview she says this was the first time she tried making a song, before she was just goofing off. Seems like an obvious talent to their money at to me, in that she has obv distinctive star power, with the large caveat that it also seems like a p big risk - of course, ten years ago we wouldn't have thought twice

lebroner (D-40), Tuesday, 31 May 2011 22:38 (fifteen years ago)

Al might be right re 360s, if she could have gotten a better deal idk

lebroner (D-40), Tuesday, 31 May 2011 22:47 (fifteen years ago)

'young person from la/oakland'

two very different types, IMO

Pompoussin (admrl), Tuesday, 31 May 2011 23:24 (fifteen years ago)

At least she didn't get a PS3

polyphonic, Tuesday, 31 May 2011 23:27 (fifteen years ago)

shes more young person from oakland, the video was shot in LA & she moved to LA three months ago

lebroner (D-40), Tuesday, 31 May 2011 23:53 (fifteen years ago)

there is a large crossover, even now

i love that she's a max b stan

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 1 June 2011 00:14 (fifteen years ago)

theres a pic somewhere of her meeting dame grease

lebroner (D-40), Wednesday, 1 June 2011 00:21 (fifteen years ago)

i saw her refer to him as her godfather

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 1 June 2011 00:23 (fifteen years ago)

doesn't nicki minaj have a 360 deal?

the smoke cloud of pure hatred (lex pretend), Wednesday, 1 June 2011 07:05 (fifteen years ago)

if kreayshawn's voice was a little less...nasal, i think i could love this unreservedly (as opposed to just love it quite a lot). i mean it's always in my head so there you go i suppose.

the smoke cloud of pure hatred (lex pretend), Wednesday, 1 June 2011 07:06 (fifteen years ago)

this shit is straight tweety bird tattoo

puff puff post (uh oh I'm having a fantasy), Wednesday, 1 June 2011 07:52 (fifteen years ago)

I've been avoiding it because like Rebecca Black it's one of those polarizing viral videos.

Uses Ragefaces To Reflect Her Dissatisfaction (MintIce), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:10 (fifteen years ago)

its just a good pop song tho -- theres no omg its so bad to it

lebroner (D-40), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:38 (fifteen years ago)

i've already memorized both verses

b.o.s.e. (banned ones still envy) (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:39 (fifteen years ago)

gnarly, radical, on the block i'm magical

b.o.s.e. (banned ones still envy) (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:40 (fifteen years ago)

seriously tho, lil b for the remix plz -- he needs to be on a song w/ a chorus that goes "one big room / full of bad bitches"

b.o.s.e. (banned ones still envy) (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:41 (fifteen years ago)

well, part of the chorus at least

b.o.s.e. (banned ones still envy) (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:41 (fifteen years ago)

some dumb-ass think pieces about this song lately

lebroner (D-40), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:42 (fifteen years ago)

prove it

bandcamper van beethoven (Edward III), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:45 (fifteen years ago)

any odd future connection ensures at least 50 dumb-ass think pieces

a http://bit.ly/kv895M (some dude), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:46 (fifteen years ago)

lol

bandcamper van beethoven (Edward III), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:48 (fifteen years ago)

these are more from ppl who repped for odd future hating on her for not being a good 'technical rapper'

lebroner (D-40), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:49 (fifteen years ago)

http://creamteam.tv/?p=4120

lebroner (D-40), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:50 (fifteen years ago)

the weird thing is that her OF connection doesn't exist beyond video cameos

b.o.s.e. (banned ones still envy) (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:51 (fifteen years ago)

yeah, not reading a "creamteam.tv" piece

b.o.s.e. (banned ones still envy) (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:51 (fifteen years ago)

it blows my mind how ppl try to equate this w/ hype over odd future generally ... theres a reason this got so much attention & its because its more immediate than any odd future song MAYBE sans 'novacane' + its, like, actually got some appeal to women

i mean, wtf is this shit:

I think a lot of people are excited about Kreayshawn because she is, in theory, “radical.”

lebroner (D-40), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:52 (fifteen years ago)

no, they like it cuz she wrote a catchy-ass song & has style & personality.

lebroner (D-40), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:52 (fifteen years ago)

or that if you mute the “Gucci Gucci” video it could easily be a shitty SNL skit about hipsters.

what a week for whiney to be sb'd

lebroner (D-40), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:53 (fifteen years ago)

yeah that sentence is meaningless xxp

b.o.s.e. (banned ones still envy) (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:54 (fifteen years ago)

she is, in theory, "magical"

b.o.s.e. (banned ones still envy) (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:54 (fifteen years ago)

"gnarly"

lebroner (D-40), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:55 (fifteen years ago)

Kreayshawn SUCKS at rapping. Homegirl can’t string together two cohesive lines to save her life.

lebroner (D-40), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:58 (fifteen years ago)

this person later goes on to say that shes uncomfortable w/ a white person biting someone else's culture, although less so when its amanda blank or lady sovereign

lebroner (D-40), Thursday, 2 June 2011 01:59 (fifteen years ago)

amanda blank fucking wishes she ever did anything as hooky as "gucci gucci"

the smoke cloud of pure hatred (lex pretend), Thursday, 2 June 2011 07:28 (fifteen years ago)

I hope she collaborates with Too Short and/or E-40.

polyphonic, Thursday, 2 June 2011 07:39 (fifteen years ago)

thumbs up!

can't believe there's not a club mix of Kitty Pryde's "Okay Cupid"

papal hotwife (milo z), Friday, 5 July 2024 23:19 (one year ago)

never heard 'okay cupid' before, that's a good one

he/him hoo-hah (map), Saturday, 13 July 2024 16:11 (one year ago)

I love that Kitty Pryde mixtape and wish she had continued in that vein

Totally forgot that I actually bought a Lil’ Debbie shirt and might still have it somewhere

one year passes...

She killed it yesterday at mosswood … the song about her lost cat was awesome tbh

sarahell, Monday, 21 July 2025 16:04 (eleven months ago)

Noteworthy:
K: most of the people here are my mom’s friends
K: make some noise if you have a cat!

sarahell, Monday, 21 July 2025 16:07 (eleven months ago)

Her mom played guitar for the Trashwomen:

The Trashwomen/Mummies/Phantom Surfers show I caught 30 years ago (Sven-Erik Geddes' bday) was also awesome. Perhaps bby Kreayshawn was there?
