I never got around to nominating albums but i definitely would have picked this.

About 1/5 of the way through them. 6 records currently got more than 100 points. Gonna stop for lunch and to run out before it starts raining. Tip yr waitresses with abandon and go to gun sounds and download elmatic - daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.

NWA didn't even place in the 80s albums poll we had a while ago! Granted, the voting demographic might be different here, but still... In your top 5 prediction, I'd replace Black Planet with Aquemini and Doggystyle with The Chronic.

And no way is Rapper's Delight in the top 5, probably not even in the top 50. I'm pretty sure Sugarhill Gang's status as "fakes"/rhyme-biters will keep true heads from giving them high scores.

I gave my Sugarhill Gang vote to Funky 4 + 1 - far more deserving candidates imo

DJs playing the full 15 minutes at every bar and afterparty I went to in the late 90s killed it for me.

yeah i agree that it won't be in the top 5, but i really don't think there are that many hip hop fans who are so hung up on Sugarhill's lack of cred that they'd deny their place in history or the merit of that song (that said, i didn't vote for "Rapper's Delight," but that's mainly because i forgot and only realized i didn't after i sent my ballot.

I'll sub Ready to Die for one of the Dre/Snoop albums but that looks like a fair prediction.
