To be fair not everyone had 8,000 words to tell the story, nor the budget and prestige of the New Yorker to support it, nor all the additional groundwork that comes with a six month press blitz. (Tyler's name was still off the record when I wrote my piece, let alone the stuff about Earl's whereabouts/father.)
