i for one don't get it. in high school i would wait for a friend of mine after school every day & i'd blast RoTM on a boombox when he came into view. he wasn't annoyed at all. it made him feel majestic.

As much as "No Diggity" is one of my favorite songs ever, fuck a motherfucker who would vote against "Return of the Mack".

The Rev has perfectly expressed my quandry. Still voted No Diggity, though.

i like the left-hand piano roll bit on 'no diggity,' and the guitar is up there with the first :01 of early elvis tunes as far as being totally indelible. but i dunno, the glossiness of 'mack' has always really done it for me.

The extended version of Return of the Mack is way better than the single edit. The jazzy piano is ace.

Agree on the piano, though IMO the instrumental groove goes on a bit too long at the end, they could've trimmed the tune down by a minute or so.

I'm behind on the show but I was watching an episode of Starstruck where the lead character got laid on some guy's lifeboat and she was walking away all excited with airpods in, blasting this song, with people hi-fiving her on the street.
