I'm specifically wondering if anyone's ever lifted the "do thangs, do thangs, do thangs" bit.

am0n, Wednesday, 23 July 2008 15:06 (seventeen years ago)

Ross released a statement last week denying that the photos were real, saying, in part, “My life is 100 percent real. These online hackers putting a picture of my face when I was a teenager in high school on other people’s body. If this was real don’t you think they would have more specifics, like dates and everything else?”

yeah the preview videos had him running on a treadmill which was promising but fireball escape certainly exceeded my expectations. khaled doing serious acting in videos is my favorite running thing nowadays.

why isn't jeezy in the video :(

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 23 July 2008 17:31 (seventeen years ago)

This song originally featured Lil Wayne in place of Young Jeezy. The version with Young Jeezy in place of Lil Wayne is the official single version. Plies' verse has been moved to Lil Wayne's part. The version with Jeezy's verse was recently released on Jeezy's mixtape "The Prime Minister". The reason for Lil Wayne's verse being removed is allegedly because of him not being able to attend the music video shoot, however, Plies did not attend the shoot either, yet his verse was maintained.

The original version features Akon, Rick Ross, Plies, Lil Boosie, Trick Daddy, Ace Hood and Lil Wayne, while the single version features all previously listed adding Young Jeezy and removing Lil Wayne.

Music video
A music video was made and features all the guest artists working with green screens. Cameos will be made by Tyga & Travis of Gym Class Heroes, Young Dro, Fat Joe, Red Cafe, Brisco, Lil Mama, Flo-Rida, Kardinal Offishall, T-Pain. The video premiered on BET's 106 & Park on July 22nd 2008. The video doesn't include either Lil Wayne or Young Jeezy. The video version has Akon, Rick Ross, Plies, Lil Boosie, Ace Hood and Trick Daddy.

you'd think with that much green screen they could just shoot anyone's part of the video whenever.

Whiney G. Weingarten, Monday, 28 July 2008 21:37 (seventeen years ago)

Fifth anniversary remix, all beats replaced with 80s pop samples, bunch of extra verses as well: that RA one I mentioned upthread, pretty sure that Eternia one wasn't on the original as well.
