that's fair jon, I don't wanna dredge up old shit here, but roxy is a southern gal so odds are she'll be sweet as pie til you cross her or her friends, can't really call that "negative"
hahaha, there really is something to that, every southern belle I know hides a shiv in the folds of her petticoat

I shouldn't have really used that as an example because I was pretty much 100% in the wrong and was rightfully called out on it. I've just noticed a general tendency of roxy (as of late really) to pop into threads just for a snarky one-liner or whatever. Not saying this is a bad thing, I mean thats pretty much the m.o. of lots of posters around here, just that "nice" wasn't my first description of her.
I think my favorite posters, in general, are the ones who get really enthused about stuff (which is why I'm kicking myself for not including skot on my list - dude is like the king of enthusiasm!).

Is this a most famous posters on ILM? For musicians I’d say Owen Pallett is one of the biggest in here that is frequently active.
― ✖✖✖ (Moka), Friday, 6 November 2020 17:15 (five years ago)
i think neil young (neanderthal) is more famous than owen pallett
― treeship., Friday, 6 November 2020 17:18 (five years ago)
Neanderthal is Neil Young!? How did I not know this.
Is there a thread for a who’s who or how do you all have this common knowledge.
I just very recently found out JD Twitch is around ILM too.

― brimstead, Friday, 6 November 2020 18:20 (five years ago)
instead of a big 4 posters imo we should work out the big 4 differences ILM has from other music communities
here's my effort
- poptimism was won so long ago and so firmly that pop is kind of ancient lore & rite here, not something new and exotic that we're suddenly allowed to like. this puts ILM at odds with other communities that I've seen going through the same wars we did 15 years ago
- by far the best EOY polls & celebrations in existence
- absolute intolerance of fatuous thinking, which is mostly a positive but also sometimes i do feel a tiny, tiny bit sorry for the Turricans of this earth. adapt or die tho tbh, i did
- definite progressive agenda forcing regular posters to go without their usual anglocentric listening habits (while also still catering to the latter plenty) - again, a v good thing, even if u all diss indie 2 much sometimes
― imago, Friday, 6 November 2020 18:28 (five years ago)
anglocentric/manocentric. an ilx alltime canon would be much, much more female than almost all the other canons, and frankly, good
― imago, Friday, 6 November 2020 18:29 (five years ago)
specific user such as imago
