I've been Johnny Fever since 2003 (after using my real name before that). Have thought about changing it a few times over the years, but I can't think of something I like more.

Kinda flattered by Top Shelf Challops. TBF I'd have said Top Shelf Misguided Opinions instead.

I don't think I can get behind any ballot that doesn't have aerosmith on it. I mean, everything else aside, Mr. Tyler has an amazing ability to just swoop into a thread out of nowhere, drop some pertinent science, and earn mad respect. I've always liked the way he is always thoughtful and able to give posters a figurative smack in the head when needed and manage to have it come across not at all condescending or troll-ish. Dude is quality, imho.

weird thing is there are posters here who must post all the time but of whom i'm only peripherally aware, whereas others I'll end up bumping into time and again. Probably either a music taste or geographical thing mind.

I honestly don't get that vibe off him, but then I don't follow some of the threads that he gets really heavy in. I certainly don't think its intentional if it reads that way sometimes though. I think he really tries to come from a good place. I guess I just appreciate the way he can reason w/ other posters when they are being willfully difficult without resorting to imagebombs zings or w/e.

i think w/ a lot of these ppl what interested me was approaches to music & befitting someone who has never entirely gelled w/ ilx socially i dont think ive put as much thought into what x was doing as a personality as much as how they explained their ideas on music

that said tim's post upthread seems otm
