I missed the first half hour of this, so I hope I haven't missed "Yeah." (And if they don't play "Yeah," well then...poor choice.)

Besides David Byrne being a better/more iconic singer/frontman and the songs being a bit better, and a 25 year head start, sure, I'll still say more or less on par.

so aside from the talking heads having a better singer and better songs, they're on par, i can deal with that

I mean, Talking Heads are my favorite band on many days. But I can at least recognize that this band is exceptionally great, too.

I said on par with the band c. "Stop Making Sense." Which was of course much more than the core Talking Heads. And also not peak Talking Heads, mind.

Come to think of it, on that "Stop Making Sense" tour, how big were the places the Heads were playing? Not arenas, right?

relax, i've conceded that if you ignore the disparity re: singer, songs, and stage act, this is on par with the band c SMS. Definitely a lot of people on this stage.

haven't watched the whole stream, aside from the alan vega cover and the arcade fire, has there been much difference from the Terminal 5 shows, setlist or stage show wise?

Have seen better performances of "Yeah" btw. That wasn't bad, but it's a shame they didn't bring the house down with it tonight of all nights.

Lol yeah there were strobe warnings at T5, and then there was a complete visual assault of like 5 minutes of intense strobing at the end of one of the sets

Dude wasn't exactly doing high kicks tuesday, but his voice definitely seems wearier, surprised how little the back-up seems to differ from what I saw at T5 - I figured they'd really go (wah wah) Stop Making Sense with the backdrops or something, but it looks like the same lighting rig from the stream

i did hear they crowdsourced some airplane window footage, dunno if that's been displayed yet

James appears to be totally spent. Yeah and Tribulations both suffered because of his exhaustion but this band, even without James, is top tier.

fyi i'm not sticking around to bitch about it or anything - they didn't add "jump in the fire" to the setlist until wed or thurs, and I'd love to see it tonight

I've seen a lot of signs lately at shows warning of "extensive strobe lights," which has made me wonder: if you are epileptic, do you have to call the venue first to see if there are going to be extensive strobe lights? Or do you just show up that night, see the sign, shrug and go home?
