so in June issue of Nylon, it says Cassie's album is coming out this summer. Doesn't have a title yet!

Her favorite song off it is called "Lonely Disco Ball" ("which is about the end of the night when the party is done and everybody has left.")

Cassie (discussing the album): “It’s a cool blend of pop, hip-hop, and ska. It’s urban Gwen Stefani meets Aaliyah. I hate referencing people but if you had to compare, that’s it.”

I think "Radio" has a good concept to it though I don't think it is executed perfectly. It's just nice to hear a new song from her. Plus, "Make You A Believer" sounds very sexy. The line "Do you want to ride?" sounds eerily similar to Janet Jackson's "Rollercoaster."

I just hope they go the Dirty Money route and just let the album (if it will be released) grow some legs. It won't be a big blockbuster but if she has this so called indie cult then it will be a nice coup for her in those circles.

"summer charm" and "stamina" are the keepers from the post-connecticut fever era imo. "skydiver" is pretty but ridic slight even by cassie standards

This gets AMAZING around the 3min mark, a lot more fleshed out and warm - I wish the whole track sounded more like that part.

i've been playing the 'sam young remix' (whatever that is--i think it might just be some dude's version using that original one minute clip--for a few weeks now and love it a lot. this official version isn't quite as exciting.

basically just the latest official releases i'm not feeling too much... this, "radio" and "sound of love" iirc. i like all 3, but when i have "turn the lights off" and "my house" in my life, my standards for cassie are much higher than this.

'turn the lights off' and 'my house' feel like a universe away at this point.

that period in 2008 when every track that leaked was a total banger.

the 2009 stuff never gelled with me as much, besides stamina. Keep On Lovin' Me is good, but feels less 'Cassie' than the earlier stuff for some reason.
