The song is alright. I like how he didn't go hard on Tyler personally. Just basically saying he is more successful than him (which he is frankly).

I think this would be a good test to see if Tyler has some staying power in hip hop with this rap beef. I'm not doubting Tyler's talent but he can be an instigator for no reason. (I just saw his tweets making fun of Big Sean and I kind of cringed.) Even though Tyler is unique and "different" for these times his constant "joking" could alienate him as far as getting ahead in the music industry. I don't work in the industry of course, but one thing I do know that in the workplace it is not good to have enemies or burn bridges.

My only main concern with Tyler is that he could either go the way of Charles Hamilton or Eminem as far as being an instigator in hip hop. If Tyler response is great then it shows he can afford to say "Fuck You All."

I mean, I think absolute worst case scenario, Tyler ends up a Steve Albini character, selling modest amounts of stuff on an indie scale to a cult audience. And gets to be a caustic conscience that doesn't care if he pisses off ppl who are more successful

Like Tyler coming after BoB is like Albini saying Sonic Youth or Creed sucks. And its like, yeah, maybe Albini blew a chance to ever tour with Sonic Youth or whatev, but I think he's doing just fine.

I could care less about Tyler's sales potential. I'm more interesting in what he does musically/lyrically because he has that potential. I'm just saying that Tyler can really cement his place in hip hop with something like this. Since hip hop is part lyrical competition and all.

But at the same time when I say "burn bridges", I'm thinking more of the lines of like "pick your battles carefully."
