so basically, drudkh still refuse to make an outright statement re: their politics and another listener is trying to draw conclusions from the music? or did i miss something in that article?

not saying the conclusions drawn aren't to be considered; but it's still conjecture, right?

roxy you know anything about CIRCLE OF OUROBORUS all i know is that they are a finnish BM band. Smithy you love finnish BM, you know anything about them? Would like to know more or hear something before buying it as im skint atm , no spare cash to take risks as I sometimes do. When i get money im doing a profoundlore order that ive been wanting all month.

It's about as much conjecture as if a dude made three albums and Reagan was a hero on each one. Either he's engaged in a career-long satirical take on Reagan-as-hero, or he thinks Reagan's a hero.

IOW Drudkh are pretty plainly Ukrainian nationalists and trying to work around that involves a lot of fooling yrself imo, and "nationalist" isn't really a benign term esp. in that region

what does IOW stand for? I keep reading it as Isle Of Wight

you've not actually ordered it right? I only ask cos I was gonna get the Raspberry Bulbs LP the other day from em but it added $4 on once I got to Paypal! So I sacked it off (Second Layer said they were getting it)

I did order it, didn't wanna wait then lose the pre-order price incase it jumped up by $10. It charged me £11.33. No added $4

huh, they've increased the price of the RBs now (I guess it's not a pre-order now?) but I just bought a CoO anyway - even if these come to the UK they'll prolly cost more than that - good lookin out

that's probably it, dont really wanna spend an extra $4 so im glad i ordered now.

Re: Drudkh - if you don't like this it's clearly not for you.

I like their music a lot (same with burzum) I guess if they are a bit "dodgy" or even outright vile like varg, i can listen to their music but not pay for it and buy stuff from those i want to. If the lyrics promote that stuff though then I'm out. Gotta draw a line somewhere, but i'm not gonna call someone who separates the music from the people making nazi's. I will however call actual neo nazis/racists/fascists cunts or dicks or wankers or whatever though!

I tried making one for neofolk and I was successful in naming like 3 bands total that weren't dodgy.... kinda sad. I'd say probably most all US BM is fine... unless they get Phil Anselmo involved.

Are the Black Twilight Circle bands from LA on anyone's radar? Arizmenda/Volahn/Ashdautas/Kallathon/Dolorvotre/Blue Hummingbird on the Left, etc etc. Interesting mix of LLN worship and Mexican BM in the vein of Xibalba with a heavy focus on Mayan mythology lyrically. They'll be going on a somewhat extensive tour this Spring/Summer.

I've only checked out that BTC comp "Worship Black Twilight." It's pretty solid. I've been meaning to check out more Ashdautas and Volahn. There's a really good crusty d-beat band in that circle whose name has escaped me. I found their demo trolling through the blogs and it really hit me hard.

i know its probably not quite the correct thread, but has anyone heard the more recent Blue Sabbath Black Cheer stuff? I don't recall any chat on the rolling metal thread about them. I figured this is as good a place as anywhere to ask. Bimble was into them hehe. He was the only one whoever chatted about them. Sure miss him.

I have quite a few tapes and a couple of vinyls but stan just keeps releasing so much stuff and with the exchange rate + postage from usa doubling a year or two ago, it just became impossible to keep up.

Bimble loved Borre Fen if you want to hear something he would have recommended if he was still alive.
