Just bought two for Manchester from Ticketmaster. In the CIRCLE section apparently though.

Me too. Will be selling these if there are more London shows and I can get standing tickets.
― caek, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:10 (eighteen years ago)
[from atp website just now]
MORE LONDON SHOWS ADDED
The Friday June 20 show sold out lightning fast this morning, so we are pleased to announce that additional shows on Saturday June 21 and Sunday June 22 have now been added. Tickets will be available shortly at www.seetickets.com, www.wegottickets.com, www.gigantic.com and www.roundhouse.org.uk
This speed of this announcement stinks of carefully planned marketing but can you really blame those involved? And do I really want to go that much? I do kind of regret not going to see them at Whitley Bay Ice Rink in 1992.
― myopic_void, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:44 (eighteen years ago)
"shortly"?
― caek, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:45 (eighteen years ago)
Maybe they're just leaving a big gap between dates just so that they can extend You Made Me Realise for just a bit longer. That'll learn all y'all.
-- NickB, Friday, 16 November 2007
hahaha.
― pisces, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:48 (eighteen years ago)
Tickets for the Friday still keep appearing and disappearing on gigantic.com. A part of me is saying 'walk away, don't get involved'.
― myopic_void, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:49 (eighteen years ago)
Phone seetickets. They're selling now!
― caek, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:51 (eighteen years ago)
For Saturday and Sunday, I mean.
Rad. Just got four four London on the Saturday. Anyone want to buy three seated tickets for Manchester? ; )
― caek, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:53 (eighteen years ago)
And they are on the website now as well. This is vaguely offensive marketing bullshit. ATP should know better.
― caek, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:54 (eighteen years ago)
Got mine too. Yes, slightly annoying, but I forgive them now that my needs have been met. Very clever...
― Kaliova, Friday, 16 November 2007 12:08 (eighteen years ago)
People are still pay £200 for London tickets on eBay.
― caek, Friday, 16 November 2007 12:12 (eighteen years ago)
is it sold out again? it took my details but then said there was a problem with the order and i can't get thru on the phone
― braveclub, Friday, 16 November 2007 12:22 (eighteen years ago)
They should have booked Knebworth, really!

Only Glasgow left!
― Mark G, Friday, 16 November 2007 12:25 (eighteen years ago)
this is doing my head in
― braveclub, Friday, 16 November 2007 12:29 (eighteen years ago)
There are tickets for Sat and Sun on the website in London, but Friday is sold out. However, they are now selling tickets for the Friday on the phone again.

I suggest everyone relaxes.
― Jamie T Smith, Friday, 16 November 2007 12:36 (eighteen years ago)
However, I'm still umming and ahing as I'm broke and going on holiday tomorrow. Friend bought two for Friday on the phone 2 minutes ago, though, so I'm not lying.
― Jamie T Smith, Friday, 16 November 2007 12:37 (eighteen years ago)
(I have seen them three times anyway, y'know, and the last time wasn't actually that great)
― Jamie T Smith, Friday, 16 November 2007 12:38 (eighteen years ago)
Loads of tickets on ebay now starting at 99p for the Friday, although some still going for £200.
Hahahahaha
― Jamie T Smith, Friday, 16 November 2007 13:03 (eighteen years ago)
eBay ticket touts are scum.
― The Real Dirty Vicar, Friday, 16 November 2007 13:14 (eighteen years ago)
touting should be illegal, srsly
― braveclub, Friday, 16 November 2007 13:15 (eighteen years ago)
I managed to get tix for the Sunday show, in the end, but not before an awful lot of hassle.
― Daniel Giraffe, Friday, 16 November 2007 13:32 (eighteen years ago)
Thanks for Gigantic tip, caek. Got two for Glasgow there no bother. July seems an awful way off.
― Alba, Friday, 16 November 2007 14:41 (eighteen years ago)
No problem. Thanks to myopic_void for the extra dates heads-up.
― caek, Friday, 16 November 2007 14:54 (eighteen years ago)
yes, I'd like to second the thanks for the tip-off about the extra dates - they weren't exactly announced were they? Maybe the notoriously stage-frighted Shields is half-hoping that no one turns up.
― Daniel Giraffe, Friday, 16 November 2007 14:57 (eighteen years ago)
i picked a bad week to take a break from ILX: knew fuck all about this until very late last thursday night. still: managed to get tix for the second glasgow date, so GET THE FUCK IN!
― grimly fiendish, Monday, 19 November 2007 12:59 (eighteen years ago)
they're selling monday tickets for the roundhouse now, just got mine
― braveclub, Monday, 19 November 2007 13:07 (eighteen years ago)
So, seeing as how Led Zeppelin have "Stairway" back in the singles chart due to downloads and the reunion gigs, what price "Soon" going in at 39 with a bullet?
― Mark G, Monday, 19 November 2007 13:21 (eighteen years ago)
oh man i'd LOVE that. the EP didn't even go top 75 last time.
― pisces, Monday, 19 November 2007 13:58 (eighteen years ago)
29 My Bloody Valentine To Here Knows When Feb 1991
― Mark G, Monday, 19 November 2007 14:04 (eighteen years ago)
Yeah, the Tremelo EP charted, but annoyingly didn't get played on Top of the Pops. It would have been great to see whichever Smashy & Nicey were on duty that week having to grin while introducing a 'song' that sounded like someone whirling a hoover round and round their head. I think the Glider EP *was* top 75, but not top 40.
― Nasty, Brutish & Short, Monday, 19 November 2007 14:14 (eighteen years ago)
41, i think
― cw, Monday, 19 November 2007 14:18 (eighteen years ago)
Tommy Vance did the Sunday rundown on Radio 1 the week Tremolo charted; he said, "Amazing atmosphere on that record," as "To Here Knows When" faded out. Bless him.
― Michael Jones, Monday, 19 November 2007 14:31 (eighteen years ago)
glider was #40 on the singles charts in Number One magazine back in the day
― electricsound, Monday, 19 November 2007 23:19 (eighteen years ago)
This appears to be the real thing. I wonder if they will tour outside the UK?

I can just picture Ned booking his tickets now!
― Jeff Treppel, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:21 (eighteen years ago)
still plenty of time for this record to never come out
― Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:27 (eighteen years ago)
Will wonders cease to never?
― Spencer Chow, Wednesday, 30 January 2008 23:28 (eighteen years ago)
but which one?
1. Roskilde - the big European festival in Denmark 2. Sunny Benicassim in Spain by the coast and a trip to nearby Barcelona 3. Øya Festival - festival with a growing international reputation in Oslo and a chance to meet up with Geir and ... Ted Parsons?

Harmonia? Okay, that I didn't expect.
The Lilys inclusion brings the roffles. I hope they force them to do In the Presence of Nothing in full.
― Ned Raggett, Tuesday, 6 May 2008 18:00 (eighteen years ago)
Santa Monica Civic two nights in a row. Who'd've thought. That 1992 Palace show was only about two-thirds full...
