yeah i dig "Sweat" -- surprised you like it given your anti-Cataracts thing!
― some dude, Friday, 11 March 2011 03:42 (fifteen years ago)

the cee-lo original has been out for a while -- is the wiz version even an official remix or just a freestyle?

― deej, Friday, 11 March 2011 04:12 (fifteen years ago)
skillz is pissed this is happening so early in '11
the first time i heard wiz's "roll up" on the radio i thought it was a really subpar new ryan leslie song
― some dude, Friday, 11 March 2011 04:16 (fifteen years ago)
'roll up' sounds like a hit to me too, its def a catchier song than any of the other shit hes dropped since 'black & yellow" although its not nearly as good as black & yellow
― deej, Friday, 11 March 2011 04:28 (fifteen years ago)

― Samuel (a hoy hoy), Monday, 14 March 2011 17:47 (fifteen years ago)
PMD's verse is real nice on that.
WC is always great, though yuck i hate that weird thing Ice Cube is doing on that song.
this is Greg Grease, local mpls cat...super backpacker but the track is kinda cool and spacey like the main attrakionz sorta

hey some dude
did you ever do a new local baltimore rappers you like mixtape?
if so, could you post the think?
if not, could you do so? then post the link?
thank you in advance :)
― gr8080 sings the blues (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 14 March 2011 19:32 (fifteen years ago)
nah i mean -- i've done stuff here or there, kind of compiling favorite songs or once i did an all-Baltimore playlist for an Idolator year-end feature, but mostly i just stick to scattered blogging/freelancing about whatever local rap i'm into, it would just be a slippery slope as far as getting into any kind of mixtape-making where i wouldn't do it unless i got really serious about it and produced beats or A&R'd exclusive material or whatever. but i did put up 20 mp3s from my 20 favorite releases of 2010 a while back, linked to it on the year-end goon poll thread: http://governmentnames.blogspot.com/2011/01/top-20-baltimore-hip-hop-releases-of.html
― some dude, Monday, 14 March 2011 20:31 (fifteen years ago)
thanks man!

also loving "gold mouth dawg", i don't think that kind of banger will ever fail to hit my sweetspot
