i dont understand why shakey was giving jhoshea such a hard time about the gender balance of odd future fans ... look at any photograph of their show, or how their last.fm chart places them at just below parity with chino xl, for evidence of their obviously male-dominated fanbase.

while i like a few of their songs & think these guys have their moments i dont think anything theyve done is nearly on par w/ fanboyish artists of yore like the-dream or gucci, in terms of skill, execution, or simple enjoyment levels.

& fyi 'in my world of young ppl' was just a lol way of saying, 'in my anecdotal experience w/ people around my age,' not sure why this is still harped on as a thing ...?

i dont really feel like arguing about this group, but i think jho was right that id just like to see more ppl talking about what they're doing that is so novel & interesting instead of making empty comparisons to wu tang or w/e. i mean, i feel like there was a lot more discussion about what made the music unique & interesting in dream or gucci threads than is taking place here ... instead its just defensiveness

and hey, i actually like some of this stuff pretty well, but its def not blowing my wig back or anything
