alls i'm saying is that oddfuture is really easy to project a lot of stuff onto, like i'd like to see them as part of some glen e. friedman cali punk/hiphop/skater culture but the truth is that's all probably just old shit they don't know and they like eminem and soulja boy and new music

Jet Age of Tomorrow make some nice beats even if they aren't like the FOREFRONT of OFWGKTA or whatever.

And 'Flashlight' is an interesting sort of detour. Floaty pretty R&B single by Syd tha Kyd, OFWGKTA's engineer.

Sidenote: Her twitter feed is hilarious if only because it consists significantly of her getting hit on by hundreds of female Odd Future fans. I dunno. Something amuses me about a 10-deep collective of mostly guys under 20 who seem pretty much unconcerned with girls outside of Tyler's emo raps and then their lesbian/bi engineer getting all the groupies.

anyway I recommend everybody to start w/ the earl & tyler joints, my comp's primarily a non-earl/non-tyler stroll through their catalog from the end of 2010

e3 yr comp was the first thing i listened to and i really appreciated it. seems like a good selection (altho i'm hardly qualified to critique it...)

yah i rewatched it & i can totally see if someone wasnt familiar w/ OF and/or had listened to this song as recorded could easily think it was terrible & amateur-ish; it really sounds a ton better not live
