^ I use to use those CD wallets back in the day. Made all of my CDs unplayable after awhile iirc.

With the In Rainbows release they sent out the download e-mails in waves, I think I got mine at like 5 in the morning.

there were like weekly tragedies in high school where someone-or-other's CD wallet would get stolen. it happened so often i always stayed away from them.

this thread has been living hell but i'm heavily anticipating this.

lol this was definitely a thing. mine was actually a CD lozenge. like literally an ovaloid (z) disc (x,y) that accordioned into storage. i bought two of them.

once i figured out that discmans (men?) were allowed in certain school situations (bus, should you be bussing; study hall; between class; lunch if w/e), i just brought the thing with me

It seems the strongest and one of the most rehearsed of the unreleased songs is 'present tense'. There's several live recordings of it around the internet.
Johnny has used an instrumental version of it on his upcoming 'Norwegian Wood' soundtrack so this either means they really like the song or maybe they were deciding on removing it and Johnny rescued it to use it there.

I'm guessing 18 is for the hour and not for the date, so:

Hey I just remembered the webcasts they did after In Rainbows, I hope they do some of that again this time. Those were really fun.

Nope I have the suspicion they will either broadcast some sort of announcement on the big screens at Hachiko square or even more probably (and better!) do a webcast like the ones they did for IR and Kid A.

Hachiko square has too much affluence... doesn't seem like an adequate place for shows. There's loads of screens in there tho so they might have rented some seconds to broadcast.

So apparently I wasn't that off on my prediction. They were set to broadcast 6 minutes of something in one of the screens on Shibuya but apparently it has been cancelled and instead they'll do some sort of webcast from the japanese website. Anyone interested I suppose will get to see something over here in an hour:

Dissapointed about the Shibuya thing, the whole thing sounded like a brilliant marketing tactic. Maybe too good in fact... apparently they didn't expect such a crazed response from fans... even the japanese government got concerned.

Well I loved the song but I don't think he's much of a dancer to support a whole video of it, still love it. Also jamiroquai has better hats.

I like the song and love the fact that he obviously couldn't give a flying fuck about looking like an idiot.

Doesn't sound too much like Radiohead tho... it's closer to Thom Yorke's solo stuff.

Of all the more recent live material, this is one of my least favorite songs. And I don't think they added much to it other than a kind of cliched Radiohead gloss.
